There are 10 teams in the Norwegian league, I think the bottom 2 have a relegation play off with the top 2 from "Division 2", and the top 8 go into the playoffs. So his season isn't done for a week or two at least. Just looked on EP, his team's rink has a capacity of 600, apparently. Translating the Norweign Wikipedia it looks like the Schjongshallen rink capacity is 1700 for seating and standing, seems like a decent little rink.
Amusingly, since 2001 they have been known as the as the Ringerike Panthers...
Indeed, that looks a lot more than 600! Fair point, well made. This is their second season in the top flight, it seems. 2018-19 was the first, they won 2 of 48 games that season, so much better this time.

That’s got to be it or maybe any Brit at all, Perlini? Where is Perlini? Norway? As the league's third highest goal scorer (despite missing 8 games) I imagine he'll either be staying in Norway or looking to move to another Scandinavian league. Given that Ringerike have already signed extensions with their other 2 top players for next year in the past month, I'd imagine that if he's happy there and a good fit he's already had an extension offer from Ringerike, if not offers to move to other teams

Perlini couldn't wait to get out of Nottingham. He'd seen more than enough. If he ever comes back to these shores I would expect it to be elsewhere.

Yes but I think his season’s finished now, they’re out of the playoffs. Ah I didn’t realise that, quite interesting. I’m assuming the Norwegian league pays better than our league on average, which is surprising with those attendances.

He might be tempted to return for just a few weeks to earn some extra cash and stay match fit for the Worlds.

I think it's probably quite similar to the EIHL. The top end teams get some top end talent, both local and imnported, although it's not as import heavy. www.eliteprospects.com/player/39646/jarrett-burtonwww.eliteprospects.com/player/9402/david-booth (albeit he's 37 so "past it") for example. That said, some of the other top scorers have hardly got stellar CVs, in fact there's barely an NHL game in any of the top scorers. Nick Dineen, who looked very average here last season, is 9th top scorer. Cangelosi is 17th in points per game. The game I saw a couple of years back featured Drew Schiestel, John Negrin and Dylan Richard, all of whom played EIHL later. It was at Manglerud, which is a small rink with seating on 1 side only, but was on mainstream Norwegian TV. That might be the difference.

Oh definitely, without any shadow of a doubt... & maybe if certain changes are made to the players 'support' off the ice then of course they could return.

to step in and replace Ollie wouldnt Brett have to be classed as a home grown Brit, whereas isnt he just an overseas trained player with a British passport

I think hell would freeze over before we see any major changes here. Not one of the current office staff will stand up to NB that’s why it’s going down the pan, the office is in complete disarray and clearly not all of them are on the same page anymore. We won’t be keeping any of this years players if something isn’t done about the ‘off ice’ situation this year and we all know who looks after that side of things, absolutely appalling.

Dan took GM's off ice gameday duties, Nicola took the other admin running... But whilst this set up is obviously not ideal the players side has been there for up to 2-3 years now & it's getting worse. Accommodation, vehicles, general player support.... All things that Panthers are pretty dire at.

Blacky only employs yes people .. those who tow the line always has done and while he's there will always continue to do so.. come on keep up! You clearly don't know or wish to know how things are done in panthers towers eh

As per their job titles... As I said a few Months ago, Rome wasn't built in a day. I would hope for change this off season. The player off ice support at Panthers has been sub standard for a few years. This won't be fixes in a couple of Months by anyone, especially not a new regime. Fingers crossed we see some improvements for next season.

One is Sales & Marketing and the other Fan Liason, neither of which we’ve seen anything of ! So who is supposed to be responsible for player off ice support then ?

I was referring more to change from the entire off ice team. I hope for change from them on the whole, it's really needed. To answer your question... I'm not entirely sure. I've lost some contact with Panthers this season. Far less is being slipped out which is a good thing imo... Unless they've become even more siege mentality 'closed shop'. I know Dan Green was accommodation officer & whilst I don't want to blame him at all he is/was completely unqualified for that role & the standards have really really slipped in this area. Now he may no longer be doing that I'm not sure but this is one area where I know the service simply has to be far far better than it currently is. I'd like to think with the new team that improvements will be made this off season but then again Black could well have surrounded himself with people who will worship his every word. As you may have figured out by now (if you care) I know one of the background team very well & in my experience of that person they will need to have changed their personality in order to stand up to Mr Black.... Maybe that has happened already, we will see.
