www.panthers.co.uk/home/211114-jokinenwww.eliteprospects.com/player/10737/tommi-jokinenGood to see we’ve signed another import heading into next weekend. On paper I don’t think he’s going to bring the physicality or goal scoring that we need up top, but he is highly experienced and he was captain at KalPa for four straight seasons which is impressive. If anything I hope his signing helps to change the lines a bit, he could even find some chemistry with Suoranta, which would be a success.

Looks alright, hopefully has a similar impact to the Finn the Yorkies signed (similar Liiga numbers).

Excellent move on 2 fronts. Anyone who's been in the Liiga that long (and been a C) can play on any line in the EIHL. Might kick start Suoranta (who we've yet to see the best of) those two could play together nicely.

Had his first training session with the team on Wednesday Good to know, at least he’s had a few training sessions to get to grips with Tim’s systems.

Possibly the worst debut I’ve witnessed. Hope he improves as looked very short of fitness Not the impact hoped for.

Think it's a tad unfair to say worst debut . First game with us coming into an established team will always be tough. He was largely invisible hopefully he gets a bit better . However I won't be expecting him to be lighting up the goal scoring charts. The description on elite prospects as having difficulty with consistency is a little concerning though.

The description on elite prospects as having difficulty with consistency is a little concerning though. Will fit in well then as "difficulty in consistency2 seems to be the team mantra, and not in game to game but period to period.

Don't forget that he can be axed when Doningue returns without effecting our signing numbers

Don't forget that he can be axed when Doningue returns without effecting our signing numbers I’m not sure how far Domingue is from returning (an update from the club would be nice) but let’s give Jokinen a chance to get going before we think about getting rid of him.

Agreed, but just pointing out that his signing does not have to be permanent if he doesn't make the grade. I'd rather have him that play short.

With us playing Sheffield next weekend, in what is ultimately a meaningless game, I’d like to see him and Suoranta playing on a line with Welsh. I’d also put Boivin, Lane and Baillargeon together. Tim has got to get more out of Suoranta, Lane and Baillargeon.

If you are going to get rid of players that don't make the grade you are going to have to book a minibus for East Midlands Airport

Wallace loves to have 2 import lines and a Brit line, in general, rather than 3 more balanced lines. And when injuries come, he splits up lines that don’t need splitting, to ensure that. That’s what it looks like to me, anyway.

It has been difficult with injuries and inconsistent individual performances. I’d like to see us put Tousignant, Myers and Betteridge back together. I think that they brought energy, physicality and it seemed to get the most out of Ollie. Our two most consistent and creative players, in my eyes, are Boivin and Welsh, maybe separating them might spark the others that they play with. This weekend I’d be happy if we went with: Jokinen - Welsh - Suoranta Boivin - Lane - Baillargeon Tousignant - Myers - Betteridge Hopkins - - Kelsall
