Flip, I thought for a few seconds he was going to Fife. Now that would have added spice to the season.

"Looks a excellent choice, good experience and still fairly young." It was all so promising. Maybe the players in Pensacola will buy in, as ours failed to last season, allegedly.

I always felt with Gary Graham that he was very much held in check by the powers that be and thus became extremely frustrated. There were several interviews where it was obvious he had gone off on a rant but that bit got cut out and wasn’t aired. Pretty useless coach/recruiter and full of BS but I did like the fact he sometimes said or at least seemed to want to say what others have never dared to.

No assistant. No help at all. What could have gone wrong? Fred Karno’s Army at best And as far as he was concerned he wasn’t any better

I make that 5 ex Panthers already in Ligue Magnus next year: Puffer, Brassard Richards, Baillargeon and Kyle Hardy. Or have I missed anyone?

Surprised Boivin hasn't been re-signed at Rouen after putting up good numbers there Guessing negotiations are ongoing - either there or in another league. With last year's numbers backing up his EIHL numbers guessing other European leagues are in the mix for him this year.

Interestingly Domingue has joined the Eastern Ontario Super Hockey League's new franchise, the Centre Hastings Ice Miners, alongside former Giant Sean McMorrow. Not a career move I would have predicted at this stage but guessing he wanted to be closer to home for some reason? Can't imagine it's purely a career based move on paper? Looks like several of the players are coming out of retirement to play etc

bit of a surprise. No real history of commonality between EIHL and Morzine. Ben O'connor and Colin Shields both had seasons at Morzine in the early 2010's as did PC Drouin. a few other North americans (Cheverie, Gui Doucet, Dan Welch, for example) also played at Morzine. They seem to have undergone a major change since 2016, having gone from Ligue Magnus to Division 4 *. Also, Panthers once played there as part of a pre-season training camp. * update. At the end of 2016-17 season M-A had merged with Chamonix, but for various reasons the M-A side of the merger backed out and started again on their own. They restarted in division 4.

Good luck to him. I suspect a last throw of the dice before hanging them up? M-A is a beautiful place to be, I'm told.

I'm thinking along these lines, nice part of the world also. EIHL opportunities amongst the top teams looks to be limited. Can see the World Champs being his swansong.

That was the way the move read to me too. And makes sense. After winning promotion back why wouldn't he want to be a part of one more WC at the top level if possible? He's still capable of putting up the numbers in France 2, had seen it all so brings the leadership side and winning face offs is always sort after. Nice part of the world, better chance more ice time and a chance to earn a place for the Worlds. Makes perfect sense to me. Good luck to him

I'm glad that Nottingham played a part in the Mike Hammond story, and sad that we won't see him in the future. RIP
