I'm definitely bothered and was planning on streaming at least some of the games. I would expect that the dates are now at risk though with Ice Sheffield already having announced that they'll be closing during the lock down

I would imagine this won't go ahead. Although they've allowed 'elite' sport to continue during the lockdown, these sides won't meet the classification for being 'elite'. The definition for 'elite' sport is that the participants must make their primary living from playing that sport, which wouldn't be the case for NIHL sides. It's proven a real pain for a lot of minority sports, particularly those with a mixture of professional and semi-professional players. Over the summer crowds were permitted for non-elite sports but not for those with elite participants, but unless all the participants were deemed elite they couldn't apply to be a government test event. Good on the NIHL for trying to get something going, a shame it looks to have fallen by the wayside on this occasion.

I may be wrong but I thought I saw an article a few weeks ago stating that the Steeldogs (amongst others) had been granted Elite status. (I can't find it now)

Wildcats v Steeldogs was a good game.
The first goal was a horrible error by the Swindon defence, putting a soft pass straight through Renee Marr's five hole.
Some lovely goals by Alex Graham and a highlight reel effort by Ben Lake. Ex-Panther Matthew Myers with the only goal for Swindon.
It was really encouraging to hear that 1200 people bought the stream. The more games like this continue, the better the chance that other NIHL games can take place including teams like the Lions and eventually junior hockey too
