I think he makes some good points. I think English speaking is an often over looked advantage we have here. Perhaps in years gone by it didn't have a big an impact on potential players because wages were well behind Europe, as was the leagues reputation. Now it appears the financial packages on offer are closer and other things getting better, being a country with English as it's main language(obviously) has a bigger impact on decision making. If players can now go, o.k it's only a small amount less but it's a language I know and importantly it will be much easier for my kids and partner. Then im sure its massive for them.

I think Finnerty is spot on in all he says. These Danish,French and DEL2 teams haven’t done particularly well recently in games against EIHL teams. Would love to see Finner coaching Panthers one day.

As in driving the team forward. It’s about time somebody put a rocket up their arse, fired them up and showed some passion. He’s recruited some good players over the years,I’d like to see what he could do with a much bigger budget.

He's never done anything to suggest he'd be a successful coach for us, at any of the clubs he's coached over here.

Finner did it at Manchester and on a much smaller budget, where we’re Panthers that year....4th,5th ? He did it at Braehead too.

Second is first loser. If Panthers tried to big up a second place finish you'd mock them for it.
At Clan they even weighted the league in his favour and he still failed. And that's not to mention his legendary inability to get a team to POFW.

Why would it be any different here? Would those who want him as coach still be supporting him if that’s who is signed?

Manchester Storm did finish 2nd in the 2017-18 season, true... and then finished a miserable 9th last season. That's one hell of a fall. And when he was in charge of a big-budget team... they went from 1st to 2nd to 3rd. Downwards... always downwards.
Finnerty here? - no thanks.

He is more or less right in regard to the on-ice, I don't think I've seen the EIHL look stronger. That unfortunately, is offset in a number of ways due to clown car league management, and the lack of any decent junior system.

Finnerty took the Clan very close to winning the Title but just like his record in the Playoffs he blew it. We even lost to Hull, Hull of all teams.
I thought he was alright
