Happy that Josh is back at the club, a bright light in a dull season. He’s got the capability to develop into a brilliant defenceman for us. Welcome back Josh!

Hopefully hes sent to the NIHL for a year. Hes not EIHL standard yet and that isn't great.
Again it raises a question who the hell has made the decision to bring him back!

Good signing for you guys. Is Strachan your coach for next season or just still standing in?

GM would have signed the Brits, same as last season.
If we have a new coach from outside the EIHL, they wouldn't have a clue who the British players are anyway.

I'm amazed GM has any negotiation skills because sure as hell he doesn't know how to talk to people properly !

Had we not signed him, and he'd turned up somewhere else in the EIHL then many would have complained, or found it very suspicious that we hadn't kept him. He's not the finished article, but he's learning quickly on the job. I'm glad he's back, as our 2nd or even 3d GB d-man, not as a replacement for #45 if Steve leaves/retires.

Do you really think he would have re-signed under the knowledge that he was to be sent to down to a brand new league? A league, which as we type, has yet to announce basic structural outlines such as import limits.
Do you think there isn't another EIHL team out there who would have offered Tetlow a position as a regular d-man?
Do you think he wouldn't have taken such an offer?

Wasn’t he on a two year deal? The article on the website does state that to be fair to the club. Just an upgraded contract by the looks of it.

I don't believe he is eihl standard as yet. Do you think gospel enjoys getting farmed out to the likes of Hull etc, it's all part of his learning. Same when NHL sign kids to entry level contracts then send them to their AHL teams for a season or two

Same when NHL sign kids to entry level contracts then send them to their AHL teams for a season or two Don’t you think he’s developed this season as the 7th defenceman, with bits of ice time, and then as the 6th defenceman when injuries have occurred? I personally feel that his size and reach are awesome tools and he has become much more composed on the puck in our own defensive zone this season, making some good outlet passes at times. There’s chance of a new coach coming in and developing him further, admittedly there are areas he needs to improve but the level of the new NIHL will be nowhere near the level of the EIHL so will he actually develop to EIHL standard if loaned there? Kieran Brown is an example of it not working. He needs to become better at supporting plays in the offensive zone, making himself available at the blue line more often and trying to find a stick, or the net, as opposed to sending it deep. He’s still growing at 21, but if he hits the gym with the S&C team this summer, focuses on becoming more powerful, then his speed and physical play will make him a vital player for us going forward.

So they tell us he was already on a multi year deal. Then that deal has been renegotiated.
But why is there always this secrecy with Panthers ? Why the heck don’t they just bloody tell us how long he’s signed for ? 🙄

Because Panthers are stuck in the bloody 80s!
They think it's big and clever not revealing such basic stuff as who isn't returning. Theu will already know and I wouldn't ne surprised if the new coach has already been agreed too!
