I attended the awards thingy today. The players all wanted to get Fife in the quarters. They really have an intense dislike for them, Bulmer in particular. He is public enemy number 1 make no mistake about it. However it looks as though he was up to his dirty, cheap shotting best today so may well have a ban coming. Also asked one of our guys about Guptill being banned and he said that they weren’t aware he was going to be banned. Nothing has been said officially and they were planning on him being available. Watch this space.

I have to say I’m very much looking forward to being in the rink on Sunday, it’s going to be loud in there. Let’s get behind them for our own pride.

Will have to be especially smart in their rink and double especially if there are Scottish refs. Fife are a bit of a bunch of whiney, diving, wind up merchants this season, flipping and flopping all over the ice, cheap shotting and forever whining at the stripeys. Beat them and beat them up (without any bans) will do nicely.

Watch this space. Was Stevie Lee there Ted? I heard he was in quite bad shape earlier in the week. Again we have to play very smart next week and stay out the box and don’t get drawn in to any niggles. Travelling twice is going to be tough unless Gary opens the purse strings and sends them Friday, Amy more than two goals difference to make up Sunday and we won’t be at playoffs.

Yes EMB, #45 was there, heard he’s still very keen to play even though the medical team have told him 6 weeks, apparently he’s still not able to fully open his mouth properly. I think he’s looking to play in a DAB type ‘bowl’. Jaw broken in two places as a result of the sucker punches from Bulmer and two plates fitted. Agree with you, play tough but smart and definitely go up the day before, that’s a must.

Surely due to the importance should they have English Refs in Fife and Scottish Refs in Nottingham or at least have 2 of each in both Legs.
Maybe Strachs should make a pre game comment about it and put the pressure on as well as any Panther fans over there

I’d be inclined to go with one Scottish ref and one English ref in each game. Would be logical, so knowing how the EIHL works, that won’t happen.

One nice thing is that we can't face Steelers until the final, although I doubt either of us will get that far.

When do Panthers ever give themselves the best chance to win? They will probably drive up at 9am Saturday morning!
Play smart? They haven't done that all season!

Determined Devils simply too good for stunned Steelers.

Not surprised really, I'm kind of expecting Sheffield to win the 1st Leg by 2 goals, I have this feeling that Sheffield will be like the Sheffield and that you should never write them off.
