It looks like we are looking forward to the Play Offs so who do we want. It appears that tickets are going on sale tomorrow but no idea what day or time the Home Leg will be. If given the choice, I'd want to play Fife, I think, we can take them over 2 Legs.
Assuming we finish 3rd or 4th, we certainly would want the 2nd Leg at home but I understand the reasoning regarding playing the 1st Leg against Fife at home due to the travelling.
However I don't think we would thrash Fife at home making the 2nd Leg a formality and I certainly don't trust the officiating in Fife if it's close.
So if it's Fife, take 2nd Leg at home on Sunday but as Iginla suggested, start the Sunday game later at 19:00. We did that last year against Belfast, It sold well also The Arena has Concerts on Sundays therefore they do open at that time.
If it's Guildford, The Flames should do some sort of coverage for their Leg whether it's a Webcast or something similar to Hockey Night In Nottingham. Play Off Games are important to fans, we can't drop everything at short notice to travel to an away game. The same goes for Panther and Clan games.
To be honest, I believe that it's too short a gap between the final round of fixtures and the Play Off Quarter Finals especially if you have to book time off work, make other arrangements in order to go to a game.

Any longer and it costs the owners more wages.

So assuming Steelers beat MK next week, then for Panthers to avoid Steelers in the quarters..... Guildford just need a point from Panthers and Dundee. And Fife need just a point from Belfast,Clan and Clan.

They won’t though,we will and get Flyers or Flames.

If we get zero points next Saturday and Fife win all 3 of their final games, they will equal us on points... and they will have more regulation wins than we do, which I believe is the first tie-breaking criterion (please correct me if that last is wrong).

You're correct Shaggy, seeing as it's the first tiebreaker, I've always wondered why the Elite League table doesn't show regulation wins. Spik includes it on his on his thread on here

Spik includes it on his on his thread on here EIHL table does show regulation wins. They could both finish on the same number 23 but Fife would be higher and therefore 3rd by virtues of most total wins.

Apologies then, it must something about my mobile then, cos it doesn't show them when I look on there. Probably some sort of technical reason

Yeah, I know. Clan are a bit hit and miss at the minute, I cant see them going there, last game of the season and turning Fife over. But, then again, I thought we'd play Sheffield, so what do I know 😂😂

And we could even still get the Flames. I'd prefer Clan of the 3, Followed by Fife. Guilford id really like to avoid. Hopefully they get at least a point if not 2 to be sure.

Guildford lose on Penalty Shots.
Luckily Glasgow are showing some spine and are leading Fife 4-1
Hopefully no-one on The Glasgow side realises what that means
Or Fife figured it out

Depends if Panthers are still in the tie come 9.30pm next Saturday. Anything more than 2 goals down it's too much. This team don't have it in them to smash teams to bits and run the score up
