If he rejects Sheffield I doubt he'd sign here specifically as a backup. If we get him he'll expect to be at least on par with Carr, IMO. Seems they're still trying to sort out the mess Thomo made up there. I think he’d get a better wage and a more even split of games if he were to sign with us

I think Whistle will take a cut and stay in Sheffield. Carr will be our no1 so if whistle came hed probably he only playing 30% of games I'd imagine such as a game at the Scottish triple header weekends 😉

Whistle is still improving, but he won't further improve sitting on an EIHL bench.

The mascot's Twitter account is usually such a reliable source of transfer info.

Many people have commented on the "lack of goals" in the squad so for announced, so a goal-scorer like Guptill has to be good. If he can be "persuaded" to improve his defensive duties then happy days!

Guptil back for another season? If true this would be the best bit of news during the close season. I don’t even care if he’s lazy/shirks his defensive duties, he knows where the net is!

He's coming off one of his best seasons' points total since he turned pro, I'm surprised that he hasn't been snapped up elsewhere if he wasn't coming back..

The one bit of evidence I can see suggesting he isn't coming back is that Connelly is down to wear 27. Guptills number last year. Clearly that isn't definative but hints he wont be back.

Rumour on Twitter that Liam Reddox is heading to Cardiff. With the rumour that Bentivoglio is also returning Batch must be lining up on D. This would also quash the rumour that Farmer is heading our way too which was lame anyway if his contract details mean Europe or Panthers.

If all this stuff about contracts is true - and who really knows? - then I don't see how any other EIHL team could sign Farmer for next season. The longer this drags on though, the more likely I think that Farmer could re-sign for the Panthers. We don't know what the relationship is between him and the club - we're just guessing from a PR, and trying to analyse the wording of those is a mug's game - so we don't know whether he wants to get away from the Panthers at almost any cost, or would like to try his hand in Europe if he can find the right slot but would be quite happy to return, or somewhere on the sliding scale between the two.

Liam Reddox would be an impressive signing. Surprised he's a Glamorgan fan though.
