They will still be dangerous come that semi final match, that was quite an even game really and we just nullified each other out. Olsen was brilliant again and Lepine’s goal was a welcome surprise.

I just wanted to mention Stevie Lee tonight I thought he was excellent. I know he has his critics but he was solid all game, played it simple but effective. Also if I can a shout out for my Grand son Tom Hayman who scored both goals in the kids games during period breaks, I won't hear last of it 👍

After our last match against the Flames that was a much better performance but it was quite a dull game. Again, I thought that we should have grabbed more goals than we did. Guptill got a goal but he was quite wasteful and I felt he could have had a hat-trick. Perlini had another good game I thought, 3 assists tonight.
Olsen and Lee have been playing great lately, Olsen’s sliding block to stop that 3 on 1 was magnificent. What a player he is!
Good to see Henderson back in the line-up, he had a solid game, he needs to get back to full speed and I think it would be good to get him on a set line to build some chemistry.
Billingsley must not be 100% fit. Considering we could have dropped one of the goalies to let him play and we also went with 5 D when they tied the game (Tetlow was benched) it would be strange from Rich to not play him if he is fit.
Another win, let’s hope we can build on it going into the weekend.

I enjoyed the game, some good end to end stuff and if Guildford could have finished or connected on some of the open net opportunities they would have won. We made a little hard work of it but there were some good plays and great performances by a number of players. Lepine's goal was a nice finish but it was the only thing he did right all game because overall he has been disappointing.
Officiating still frustrating and baffling, why does the ref who is looking at the play and less than 3 yards away ignore an infraction and the one 150 feet away call it? Clubs should be allowed to criticise the officiating and the something should be done about it because it is ruining the game.

I’ve said it before, the 2 ref system doesn’t work in this league. There aren’t enough refs to go around.

Saw Billingsley in the foyer after the match he doesn't look a happy chappy, hope the rumours that he's on his way out are not true, but with our revolving door just lately who knows. Didn't Rich bench Guppy again last night in the 3rd?

Guptill was on a couple times max in the third.
As for Billingsley, he's a Uni Deal guy so I'll be surprised if he's on his way out.

Just checked back through the signing releases for Billingsley, he isn't a uni guy it turns out! Also reading the release for the current season, he was Cherno's first import signing and praised him for his consistency when he was watching the team before the season ended.
I don't think he's been particularly good this season but what can you expect from a guy who gets thrown on as a forward having spent the entire last season on D. I don't think Cherno has given him a very good chance but hey ho, looking forward to seeing who is incoming. Billingsley might not even be getting gassed yet, we don't know.

There’s a rumour about us signing Chris Stewart, the brother of Anthony Stewart who we signed during the lockout in 12/13 season.

Straight out the NHL for the last 6 seasons to EIHL... bit of comedown don't you think.

Also worth noting that his NHL contracts for the last 3 years totalled $4m. Doesn't need money or a degree so not sure what he'd get out if coming here.

I’ve only just clicked on to this but during the NYE game there was another chap standing with Henderson at the stage end, I couldn’t recall seeing this person before and I thought nothing of it, but maybe the person has been here waiting.

Very likely he knows Henderson very well. I'd even say kevin had a hand in him signing
