kudos and respect for stating the blatantly obvious - wow, some people are very easily pleased...

Under previous coaches we wouldn't have even got the blatantly obvious.

kudos and respect for stating the blatantly obvious - wow, some people are very easily pleased... And some other people will pick holes in absolutely everything. The first step in solving a problem is in admitting that it exists in the first place. That's a step that plenty of people - past and present in the Panthers and other clubs - haven't been able to take. Too much pride, perhaps? Respect to Mke Ellis for taking that step. Now to see if the Panthers can take the following steps needed.

i agree with shaggy this straight talking is a very good sign and kim makes the further point that previous coaches would not be so honest, ME is doing a lot of things differently this year and its good to see.

Well , it seems we went to Basingstoke with exactly the same attitude as the last couple of times entirely contrary to Mike's warning in the above NEP quote and got what we deserved.. Straight talking to us fans might be an improvement on previous coaches but it would be good if some players took note. 4 point weekend already gone.....and a comfortable win against Edinburgh with 3 imports later today won't compensate for me.

I thought Edinburgh are 3 Imports down not playing with 3 Imports. Peter Janik Pavel Kowalczyk Patrik Luza Dino Bauba Toby Kallander Andrej Rajcak Martin Cingel I stand to be corrected! With us also being 3 Imports down it should be interesting to say the least. Jan, Joe and Rasta all missing (unless a miracle occurs today) plus our new GB player Matthew Foord making his debut.

Yeah your right with Edinburgh having 7 imports, i checked that out the other day too. They also have Brit forward Phil Manny helping out at away matches only. So should be a good evenish match. Although ide love rasta back, i just dont think the players have faith in woolhouse and it's showing in our results and amount of goals we are leaking.

Kallander isn't an import, he's Swedish-born but British trained.
Matthew Craig is the other import, Canadian born Dman playing his first year of pro hockey after 4 years at Yale in the NCAA.

Cheers loveday, you're right of course - didn't type what I meant about Edinburgh's import number. Didn't quite expect a 10-1 win for Panthers though!!
