Heard tonight that changes are going to be made. I wonder who is off first?

I'd imagine Biggs will be in the frame.

Biggs and Doty would seem to be the obvious forwards. Of the Dmen Lepine on performance but can’t see us releasing him with being captain and on the Uni deal.

Probably already too late. But if true, a positive move.

To be fair we haven’t really seen what Bolduc can do yet but he should be effective when he gets up to speed. I’d change two,Biggs and Doty for smaller faster players,a sniper and a playmaker.

It’s never nice to hear of people potentially being let go, because it’s their livelihood, but after the Scottish weekend I was expecting a reaction, against a Sheffield team who are well below average, and we didn’t see it.
By a reaction I mean playing, as we saw at the start of the season, with high energy and physicality, to prove a point to the coach. You don’t have to be gifted to play hard, physical, put in the work and leave every last drop of energy on the ice but we didn’t see that and it’s not good enough, especially for a club that is supposed to have title aspirations.
If we’re seriously going to challenge this season then we need somebody who can provide speed, energy and creativity and somebody who can get that scrappy goal around the net. We’ve got size in abundance so let’s have a different angle now.

I heard a game or two back tha Chernomaz was already in contact with a player from another club as he was looking to make at least one change Both Biggs & Garnett have been on a warning this past week as it's been deemed that their performance hasn't been good enough recently (Garnett for at least the 2nd time this season). I can't see Garnett being released with him on a Uni deal. For me too it has to be Biggs or Doty if we were going to make a change. Biggs doesn't bring anything to the team except the occasional big hit which on more than one occasion has brought a major penalty. I don't doubt Doty's work rate but he's not quick or agile enough for this league sadly & We have enough toughness elsewhere. Lepine won't be the player he was previously. He's not going to risk a concussion or hand injury from fighting that may affect his studies.Like Garnett I can't see him getting the push either due to his Uni deal.

I doubt Biggs and Doty are amongst the high earners so doubt some far superior will be replacing either of those two.

Neither Doty or Biggs are being used very well at the moment. Doty was used very well against us last year and he’s just making up the numbers at the moment and Biggs could be much better used on the boards and doing the stuff Pither shouldn’t be doing.

It’s not nice wasting petrol to drive to the arena to watch the crap we saw on Sunday so as far as livelihoods are concerned that’s in their own hands.

If they aren’t going to put in the effort then so long, after the past few seasons we’ve had against Sheffield we deserved better last Saturday, that was the perfect opportunity for every player.

Kovacs could be in trouble too, he's been anonymous for a few weeks now imo

Kovacs could be in trouble too, he's been anonymous for a few weeks now imo Don't forget, the last month or so has been mostly on the road, only 3 of 9 games in that time at home. That may or may not make a difference to the perception. Kovacs is, in the 9 games in October, 0+5, -1. Being fair, Guptill is 5+0 and -4 in the same stretch. Pither is top at 4+6, +1 in that time.

I did here a while back that Garnetts uni course finishes at Christmas this year.
The forward lines look completely different if you take Doty and VanKleef out and add Bolduc and Rheault. Clearly Rheault aint back in the line up soon enough though so i'd add one more quality forward after gassing Doty. When Rheault is back fit there will be competition for places.

I'd be surprised if we cut any of the top 4 guys. All are still ppg and have shown that they clearly can do it.
Our secondary scoring has been a huge problem. Henderson is on target for me and i like what he brings. Briggs is the obvious choice hes way below where he should be, about a 3rd by my reckoning.
Farmer and Perlini need to find thier mojo again. Farmer has been invisible this year. And our forth line points production is non existant.
We need leader with an engine in place of Biggs imo. A carbon copy of Benny would do. Dotys place would depend on his price. If hes cheap its fine, its not his job to score loads of points. But we need more out of our bottom 4 forwards.
Defense is a harder one for me. We clearly have a problem conceeding in bunches. Rissling is way down on point production, however i feel hes quite good defesivley. Lepine isnt the same player atm, hes not awful but he doesnt feel like the rock was. Hughes and billingsley ive barely noticed tbh which is normally a good thing. Olsen seems to be on for a lot of our goals but hes clearly a good player so im really not sure.
I think a large part of our defesive problem stems from us not working as a unit.
Im hoping one or two replacements up front could shake things back into shape. We have the players to compete but something is way off atm.

I'm still yet convinced changing players who are going through a bad patch is the way to go. I hope he finds better chemistry and sticks to it.
