In the NHL... Patrick Dwyer played 416 at 0.22 ppg Alex Bolduc played 65 at 0.08 ppg the amount of difference in GP makes it hard to take anything away from that stat. Exactly .. totally pointless comparison

I think it's more than a bit early to even be speculating about who may sit out when/if Rheault comes back... first we need to see how Bolduc fits into the team, what position(s) he is going to play, what particular skills and benefits he brings... from that, the coach can then make a judgement as to which player sitting out would least impact the team. Sometimes a 'better' player may sit out rather than a 'lesser' one, if the latter has a skill set that more closely matches the overall requirements of the team at that time.
Again, I'm irresistibly reminded of that famous quote from Herb Brooks - "I'm not looking for the best players, I'm looking for the right ones". (Remembering that on any given night, depending on the opposition, the rest of the team, etc etc... who is the "right" player may vary)

That's the 'claretgiant' way! Remember when Giants 'fanbase' had their own forum? Apparently the mods inability to fire Subway at its members led to it's demise. Belfast - Only interested if free food is involved.

Unfair question no real fan wants to knock his own players, it’s about being united, not divided. I've almost literally just fell off my chair...

Good signing, good experience, former captain at a high level, he’ll bring more than just hockey with him. As for who sits I Don’t know but it does now mean every guy will have to earn his ice time and his slot in the line up.

www.express.de/sport/eishockey/koelner-haie/bolduc-auf-dem-eis-blitz-comeback-der-kec-kante-28566464Thanks to Chrome for the translation... Cologne - He's back on the ice again! Haie striker Alexandre Bolduc (32) has recovered from a serious knee injury and is back on the ice for his comeback. And that only about a month after the injury! Before the derby against the DEG (Friday, 19.30 clock), there was the miracle cure of the KEC edge. Bolduc explains radiantly: "It's so great, back on the ice and with the team Injury during fitness test Review: 3 September. Bolduc is as motivated as never before the start of the season and unexpectedly gets more tailwind. Coach Cory Clouston tells the Bulldog that he will be the assistant captain for the season. Bolduc is full of self-confidence and pride. He wants to prove it to everyone after a bumper start in Cologne (only one goal in 15 games). But then it happens. That same day, Bolduc injured his knees in a standard fitness test. The shock diagnosis: several months break. The sharks, as always, did not disclose details, but EXPRESS information was a total loss in the knee - several ligaments torn. Bolduc recalls: "Perhaps the hardest of times followed. For a week I was physically and mentally on the ground, just down. "Bolduc crashes into a deep hole. "My wife is very pregnant, in the next few days we get our first child, a son. I could not help my wife, she had to carry things for me. "Doctors did a great job" It just messed me up, "he reveals. That's past now. The edgy center forward is way above the healing plan, revealing: "The doctors did a super job. I do not feel any pain in the movements right now. I'll do everything I can to get back to the team quickly without risking too much. " Because one thing is clear: For a leader like Bolduc, there is nothing worse than not being able to help in a derby. "I hope I will not hurt myself again when cheering," jokes Bolduc and adds: "I have a good feeling. The boys are hot. "For him, the game comes too early, but he can at least skate again. Bolduc's comeback is not far away.

willsportsgroup.com/?p=606Seems Bolduc has a history of tearing ligaments, having also torn ligaments in his shoulder (see link) and also his ankle..... Hopefully he won't have any serious injuries whilst here.....

Well 3 matches in 3 against not too shabby opposition will certainly test him, let’s hope he’s reasonably up to speed because this weekend will certainly test him.

Bolduc looks captain material from whay I've heard. Shame they can't give him Lepines 'C' and let him concentrate on his game and hope it improves...

Let's remember he finished last season and though the play offs. He's not coming off a injury.

Bolduc lining up left wing with Hurtubise centering, that's been the brief work so far in training. Makes the most sense for now.
