Let's hope we finish 4th then ! Why? If the Panthers finish 3rd, that means that the teams below us didn't do as well. Everybody plays the same amount of games

And Cardiff's exploits in the CHL have killed their title dreams haven't they?

Plus, Belfast's journey (!) hardly derailed them. They played both rounds at home (2 rounds, thanks to us). And, if, by some quirk of fate, we get into the Continental Cup, then I guarantee we'll play at least one round at home

Like I said. Not interested. No distractions. The difference between Cardiff Belfast and Panthers is those two teams can stay focused for 7 months! Panthers Won t get into it so it's all immaterial

Out of interest. For a complete all-round national league table. The winners of the LEAGUE, in order of their first and ultimately how many they have won altogether since.
Harringay Nottingham 2 Wembley Brighton Paisley Streatham Dundee Durham 5 Murrayfield 2 Cardiff 6 Sheffield 9 Ayr Manchester Bracknell Belfast 4 Coventry 4

Just think how many we would have won if not for that pesky Continental Cup.
Oh yeah, still 2.

How do you know Panthers wouldn't have done better in the league in 2004/5 and all the other occasions they had the holiday I mean continental cup stuck in the middle ?/

So in all the other years, didn't win the league. In that year, rather than view it as part of the obvious pattern, you'd rather think it's because of the CC?

Well it's a good job you won't be finishing 3rd then, Clan will. Are you still confident of that 3rd place Don after tonight’s thumping by the Stars ? Don’t think I would be. 😉

No way Clan finish above us now, double Devils next up. Good win for Dundee.

I was being sarcastic, honest.
Although it doesn't come across that way on a computer screen.
Clan always seem to screw up at this point in the season, we lost to Edinburgh in that season we were close to winning the league.

Lol 🤣 Your run in is fairly tough, ours should be pretty easy. It’s Panthers 3rd and Clan 4th for me.

Sheffield, and DeLuca in particular, have made it a bit more interesting. Impressive win tonight.
Still in Cardiff's hands but loosened their grip a bit.
Giants win the Erhardt Conference to add to their season haul.

Belfasts loss in Manchester last night has all but sealed the title for Cardiff. Can't see where Devils drop 4 points(not sure if it's even 5 needed) considering their remaining fixtures. You never know but this isn't the Cardiff bottlers on 4 or 5 years ago. They'll finish this off comfortably.

Not over until I sing 🎤 🎵 Stars at home can still upset us MK will want to finish EIHL on a high (though they may only have 10 skaters by next Saturday 🥴 And Blaze away is never easy for us - they always want to bash us 😳 This is looking like a very tough run in.......... So, is it Pete Russell for you guys next season?

So, is it Pete Russell for you guys next season? Why would it be? I think too many people make too much of the fact that the Panthers and the Clan share some ownership... from what I can see, there is very little other connection between the clubs. They aren't our 'farm team' (or vice versa, as some of the more extreme lemon-suckers have occasionally opined), there's no progression between the two, etc etc.
