Bit of a thriller in Belfast, but ultimately another game knocked off by the top two, and another two points apiece.

Still 20+ points behind the top 2 and not good enough, but it'd be some shock if we managed it from where we looking at finishing a few weeks back.

Finishing 3rd instead of 4th is a possibility but realistically it wouldn’t change anything, would most probably still get Flyers or Flames in the quarters and still have higher seed advantage. Then have to beat Giants and Devils in the semi and final at POFW.

Bowns has stepped his form up in the last few games and his defence has rallied around him. 3 shut outs in 4 games says all you need to know about where the Devils are currently performing at

Yeah but Sheffield could be 6th by the end of the weekend. 😉 Strachan, initiate battleplan: Finish 4th. To be honest. They may find a way past Fife this weekend. However they still have a game left against both Cardiff and Belfast with Fife still having 3 games in hand. It's unlikely they get 6th but I wouldn't put it past them. The Conspiracy theory would have some weight behind it if it did happen.

All we can do is finish as high as possible and take whoever it may be, the second leg being at home is vital in these ties and we need to take advantage of that in the Playoffs. It’s very close and difficult to predict who will finish 6th, 7th or 8th as there are five teams battling it out for any of those spots.
I’m going to put my neck on the line and say Fife will finish 6th, Sheffield will finish 7th and Manchester will finish 8th. Comparing Glasgow’s and Guildford’s remaining games to ours I think we could, somehow, finish 3rd.

Decent game in Fife, 4-4 into overtime. Fife tied it with 30 seconds left, nice to see the Yorks on the receiving end of that one for a change.

Rumoured that we've signed former Zagreb recruiter & coach Aaron Fox.
In other news, we lost again....

We said we needed a recruiter 😂 seems we’ve gone for a guy who’s good at that but forgotten the coaching aspect. That said, hope it’s a Lord/Keefe outcome.

You won't get that as he doesn't know the league for starters ..

Oh well,3rd would be disappointing again but it’s better than Neilsons annual 5th place ! 🙄 Theres a strong possibility that the third place team will get entry to the Continental Cup. The CC place goes to the playoff winner, or the runner up, then the Challenge Cup winner, then third place in the league. Now, if Cardiff meet Belfast in the playoff final, that spot will go to third in the league as both of them are in the CHL. At the minute I wouldn't bet against a Cardiff/ Belfast final.

But then again, this is Panthers. 😩 That's the thing. Imagine if we were capable of sustaining a title challenge until February. What a run in we'd have had. 11 or 12 games, all against Patton and Gardiner teams and the majority at home.

Well if Panthers win all their five remaining games then Clan will have to beat Cardiff once and take a point in the other from two games against them for Clan to finish 3rd.
