With Bowns looking shaky against Saltsburg, it wouldn't shock me, if The Panthers were told to shoot from distance.

Ooops no sorry, that was so previous years ! 🤣

I get that you didn't like Neilson and that is completely fine. But you somehow manage to make a reference to your disliking of him at any stage and it is absolutely unnecessary. It's nothing to do with the game thread. It's nothing to do with this fixture, it's just you attention seeking yet again , much to the annoyance of most of this forum. He left in April, please just move on for all of our sakes. And because you seem to like to do it to make a point, i'll end my sentence in an exclamation mark ! Anyway, If we can get a result here that really would be a marker. We have a poor record in Cardiff and taking 2 points this early on would be huge. Hopefully we can take advantage of Cardiff adjusting from CHL to EIHL and surprise them.

We’ve got a good following going down, hopefully we can push the boys on to a victory.
I’m guessing 4-2 to Panthers.

I just have a feeling about this weekend and I don’t know why. Quietly confident if I’m honest!

I just have a feeling about this weekend and I don’t know why. Quietly confident if I’m honest! See I think I am the opposite, maybe its just my personality or just too many years watching the Panthers. I always think Ok we have a good team and could get the win here, only to go and get whipped. Believe me I really like this team and think we can win here but there's a side to me that always has that niggle of doubt. On that note I am hoping for 3-2 victory but would settle for an OT loss as I think a point there is a good result against a top Devils side.

Just to close to call.
Two good teams. Physical battle and relatively low scoring, then OT.
After that it’s anyone’s guess? Flip a coin job.

Must say, for a early season game, it seems to be one of the highest anticipated games for quite a while

Must say, for a early season game, it seems to be one of the highest anticipated games for quite a while Hardly surprising, really. On the one hand, you've got the two-time league champions finally back up to full strength and itching to get started on domestic competition and (hopefully, from their POV) put a bit of salve on their wounds from 4 CHL losses. On the other hand, you've got a team looking to drag themselves back up to the top after a domestically-disastrous season, with fans who are both energised and bemused by a new (and very different) coach, a brand new set of players with a very different style of play, and a somewhat gobsmackingly unbeaten run of games so far. Irresistable force vs immovable object? Best game of 'chicken' in British ice hockey? (here's a thought - who the eff you sea kay is going to want to play chicken with Daryl Olsen? ) A bunch of fans confident after 2 great years vs a bunch of fans (maybe) confident after 5 great weeks? It's certainly looking like the most interesting matchup of the weekend, that's for sure...

It's touch and go whether I'll be able to get home to watch the webcast but think this game will be a huge measure of where both sides really are at the moment.
First period is key for us I feel. We have had a few shocking starts at IAW when we have visited before, if Cardiff get their tails up then they are tough to stop. If we can frustrate them early then we could be good for the win.
Definitely won't be put any money on this game. I honestly don't know who is the strongest outfit right now. We've beaten two average sides(albeit playing well in Manchester's case on the Saturday) and Cardiff have lost to some excellent sides whilst putting up a bit of fight.

But so can Faryna, Louis and Blood, which could make it interesting.
