Only seen one game, Sunday's 2-1 win. Thought Lepine (and all the D) did pretty well against some extremely quick, skillful and relentless forwards. Regarding the captain, I'd be thinking possibly Henderson. Plays the game in the right way, very experienced and could lead from the front with some hits when needed. He didn't hit a lot but the people he hit stayed hit.

The deciding factors will be whether an individual has the personality and character to be a leader.

Pither would be good as a leader on the ice, has the confidence to go at the other teams defence alone and create something out of nothing. There’s a lot to choose from and from a fans point of view, I don’t think it actually makes a difference to us.
I understand why people didn’t warm to Lee and Clarke as much as Fox but being the captain is for the most part a dressing room situation and, regardless of what people “know the people in the dressing room think”, nobody outside that dressing room has a clue who is the leader to the players and that is predominantly the role of a captain

The captaincy has no bearing on us as fans and doesn’t matter one jot.
The coach and/or players will decide who is most suitable for the role and we will put up with it like we have to, and like we should.
I appreciate people have their preferred favourites as captains, but what we, as fans, want to see as a captain may not necessarily be anything that the club and those on the inside want. We want heart on the sleeve, all effort and all action... but they aren’t necessarily the right choice, and us in the stands will never know.
I personally think it will be Lee again, knows the league and refs, been captain previously, and, although there’s no place for sentiment, it’s his testimonial year.

Anyone know why we have 2 alternates but everyone else seems to have 3?

They changed it to 3 A's a couple of seasons ago. No idea why we've only gone with 2.

Post game interview with Pither states that he's an alternate as well.
