Now that most rosters have taken shape, how does everyone think things will pan out come the end of the season? I'm going for :-

While I can see why The Devils are favourites, for me they are not certs.
I think this is The Season where teams work them out.

Can't make a prediction this year. Chernomaz has pedigree, I just want a Panthers team that competes and gives me value for my money. Any trophy will be a massive bonus for us this year. Assuming Rich is still around in 12 months then I'll make a prediction

I'm not sure if it's because they get worked out or not but I do think there is a chance for us to take the title this year for a few reasons. I do believe they have build the best squad and that group of players appear superior to the rest. But.... Cardiff are in the CHL. Of course they were in it last year too. The difference is we arn't this year. They have extra games to play and extra travel to deal with. Add that to the fact we have a fresh new approach with an experienced coach at the helm and I think it certainly helps level the playing field.

They appear to have upgraded I'm not sold on their new arrivals, we've seen in the past that high quality players coming into this League flop or don't settle and leave and I have this feeling that players like Martin, Ulmer won't be having as good as Season as they've had previously.
Obviously this is my opinion and probably wrong. I think that The Panthers, Steelers, Giants and Devils will take points off each other. For me, it all depends on how on how these teams do away from home against The other Conference sides.

1) Cardiff Devils Clear favorites, impressive squad retention of a Championship winning team and even more impressive CVs have been added to the roster. 2) Nottingham Panthers We look big and strong, possibly lacking in overall offensive ability, but our defense on paper looks the best in the league. 3) Belfast Giants The rumored troublemakers have been cut and a couple of impressive signing have been made. The difference maker may be Beskorowany, fantastic pedigree, but he was said to be overweight and out of shape when he joined the Capitals. Will he be fit for the season? 4) Sheffield Steelers An unusual team with an unclear idea on how they want to play the game. Its unwise to count the Steelers out, but I think this will be a poor year for Sheffield unless Whistle has a career best year.
5) Glasgow Clan A complete overhaul with a new look to match. However they seem somewhat lacking in depth, after the deadly looking first line of Pitt-Connolly/Heelis-Beca, the teams offensive threat falls of fast.
6) Guildford Flames A small upgrade on last years squad, a bit more size in the roster while maintaining most of last seasons point-production. Should fair well and will likely challenge for 5th.
7) Manchester Storm A team with high point-production and good depth on the forward lines, but may prove lacking in defense.
8) Fife Flyers The Roster still has a fair way to go, but its looking very impressive offensively. The big question is whether some of the Scottish imports will maintain their impressive stats now that the league's whipping boy had dropped dead?
9) Dundee Stars Impressive goal tending, more experienced heads in the line up and hopefully enough budget-friendly first-year pro's sprinkled in to allow Pacha to be a full-time coach. Hard to tell where this team will place overall. 10)Milton Keynes Lightning Some promising talent already signed, however the team is yet to take shape though. 11)Coventry Blaze An uninspired Blaze squad, lead by a man with questionable coaching ability.

I think the top 3 will come from Devils, Panthers, Giants, but in no particular order, with Steelers, Clan, Storm, going 4th to 6th. Think this season will be a belter, with all us guys enjoying it, how can you not love this sport. Happy Hockey Days.

TBH i cant see anyone other than Cardiff considering the squad they have signed and for me this is quite frustrating because although they have a very solid squad with what looks "solid" quality throughout its the last 3-4 signings in my mind that has made the difference and rather than coasting on what was already a solid team they have imho improved in pretty much all the positions they lost players...
I also believe this season panthers have signed a solid team but imho we are exactly those 3-4 players short of very good quality mores the pity...
So League positions well, devils first, if coaching has improved in belfast them 2nd then either panthers or steelers depending if they get their usual bounces... after that who really cares...
