I don’t think the prices represent good value for pre season friendlies. Meh, your money & time etc, I’ll be going with my lad as he’s excited to watch the team again; I agree that the club have made a boob with the pricing etc and I won’t be attending all of them as it’s simply too expensive for preseason games.

Well they tweeted to say this 'facilities fee' is going to be invested in a new scoreboard Next year! Translation:- The current scoreboard is about to go out of warranty, and the cost of maintaining it will be too much. We've already accounted for getting a new scoreboard in our capital budget, but let's use it as an excuse to shear the sheep a little more... it'll just go into the general pot, but they don't know that. Oh, and we can use it as PR - the fans have been saying that the current scoreboard isn't up to scratch, so now we can say that we've listened to them and taken action. Cynical? Moi?

Not cynical at all Shaggy. I’d say your take on it is highly likely to be 100% true.

So it's only ST holders that don't pay the fee? Everyone else does then it seems. So again, £16.90 for adults in Gold, £14.90 in Silver and £13.90 in bronze - which is what, £2-3 cheaper than a normal ticket?? Not a massive discount as they advertise is it? Out of interest, what were the prices for the CHL tickets? I have it in my head that they knocked them down to like £12? I seem to remember gold was £15 and Bronze £10 for the CHL games (can't remember silver). I'd love to have seen that pricing strategy going forward for friendlies and probably cup games that won't sell out (I.e not Steelers). After all Panthers should be looking to get people watching on discounted before enticing them to pay full whack during the season.

Cardiff pre season and CHL games prices for individual games are £17 gold, £15 silver, and £14 bronze, similar to you guys, £2 off normal season prices.

So the facilities fee for a new scoreboard? Will away fans be charged the fee? Away fans to pay for a Panthers scoreboard doesn’t seem right.

Well they tweeted to say this 'facilities fee' is going to be invested in a new scoreboard Next year! So long as it’s going to be a proper scoreboard and system that brings the arena up to date and allows far (as in FAR) higher DPI together with seamless real time video I have no problem with that at all. About time the NIC climbed out of the Teletext age. Personally I am 100% behind it.

I refuse to contribute to a team who continue to employ a homophobic, racist mysognist, so I no longer attend away games in Sheffield. If you don't feel it's fair paying this 'facility fee' then stay at home.

I've seen quite a few replies on Twitter asking if it's jumbotron but no replies. I would imagine whoever is posting from the arena would have the correct name for the upgrades in the arena?

Black and Moran hate it as much as the punters do. Better system with a better display = more advertising at a much higher revenue. I expect the social media guy just knows it by the same name that the punters do.

Waste of time as there is always someone standing in front of it during the intervals making it impossible to see what it says !!!!!!!!

You probably just hit the nail on the head there. Why can’t “more higher cost advertising” pay for it rather than the usual mugs pockets ! 🙄

NIC site in FAQ Why do you charge a 90p per ticket venue facility fee. " The venue facility fee covers the cost of maintaining and developing our venue, to ensure we can continue to host world class shows and events. The amount we charge is in line with many other UK venues who also charge this fee."

They might as well say, it's not in the price we charge for the shows/event because it's an after thought.

What are people actually watching on it ? Once you’ve seen the new intro video then you’ve seen it and who wants to watch bloody adverts ! It shows me the score and pens and err that’s about it. Just think what sort of team we could have if 90p a ticket went to Panthers and was promised to be spent on better players !
