Its about bloody time the Boxing day game was back in Nottingham again instead of Sheffield every year.
Well done Panthers. 👍

About bloody time. When was the last time the Boxing Day game was in Nottingham? Seems like it may have been a while ago. I thought it was supposed to rotate between the two teams each season?
Oh, and yes, Simms is a dick.

Oh, and yes, Simms is a dick. There was an agreement in place that the Boxing Day game rotated each year. But probably 6 or 7 years ago that stopped, presumably because Panthers sell out either day whereas Steelers get a bigger crowd if they get Boxing Day. #itwasallaboutmoney

I've said before I don't personally care about having the Boxing Day game at home, I'd rather it be in Sheffield.
You've got limited public transport on Boxing Day whereas I'd have to drive to Sheffield if I wanted to go anyway.
Also it does amuse me that people constantly bang on about wanting the 2nd Leg at home in 2-Leg games, yet when it comes to the Chrimbo series we want to play first.
Meh.

Because the two Steelers Xmas games are not a two legged affair might just have something to do with it ! Meh🤔 It’s all about travel, not every fan wants a 100 mile round trip every Boxing Day. And why should we care about Steelers crowds, more money generated for them means they could spend more which is not good for us.

I'll be going but would've preferred it to have remained on the 27th. Usually spend the day with family we don't see on Christmas Day, and then Public Transport finishes at around 6pm on Boxing Day. It's a bit of a pain but I'll get over it.

Think the agreement is we alternate year on year like we used too.

Think the agreement ended when the NIC started closing on boxing day as well

I guess that a lot of people spend xmas day with one side of their family and boxing day with the other, probably alternating yearly. Whereas a bit further north they maybe only have one side of the family.
