He part owns Storm doesn't he? I think you need a dream team thread for us to get him.

Doubt they’d announce that before the playoffs

Strange, I thought he put out a statement long ago that he was cutting ties. This Mickey Mouse league will never change.

All the corporate boxes at the Skydome are named after former players or coaches. I don’t think that’s really indicative of a conspiracy.

So ruling out the new coach tomorrow the only things that qualify as a new era in my book would be Black selling up, Moran retiring or GMB being replaced as main sponsors after donkeys years. My money is on the latter.

Possibly what they mean is Corey and Clarkey leaving is the end of an era. It's hardly a seismic shift in terms of going from the Jurassic to the Triassic eras, but I suppose in the world of Nottingham Ice Hockey it could be seen as significant.

It's odd though that their most recent version of the "New Era" vid on Twitter seems to concentrate solely on Corey.
Black won't sell the cow, would love it to be Moran retiring though - maybe Corey could take over from him as GM (hence video)?
But I agree most likely is a change of title sponsor.

They ain't leaving tomorrow though are they? Got something to do at the weekend (and hopefully the one after). - Gary retiring?

They've normally made the announcement about an extension to the sponsorship by now, so unless they are saving that as a feelgood factor start to the 2nd leg then i agree.

I would say a safe bet is an announcement of a sponsor.
An outside the box guess could be some sort of link up with the lions and junior clubs.

That's not end of a era anyway..
Yet again dozens and dozens of applications eh I 'll put my mortgage on it being someone 'within the circle'

My bet is that they’ve kicked the GMB into touch because somebody else has paid more money as main team sponsor.
I can just just see it now. The “Wonga Nottingham Panthers” ! 🙄

A club spokeswoman said "despite interviewing numerous candidates from top leagues, many of whom were begging to come and work for the Panthers org, we feel like the appointment of Dan Green as head coach is the logical and correct choice for the club. He has a wealth of experience talking to Corey and Rick on the bench during warm up, as well as shuffling pucks around in practice..."
Wasn't the GMB deal only renewed last season on a multi-year??

New club logo maybe? Or ditching those awful while away helmets, the black ones were so much better.

You forgot to add that he defends players on his podcast with his mate and they will actually name and shame fans who dare to critic the team as that’s not permitted unless you’ve played on a regular basis as EIHl standard or higher.. 😂😂😂
