I was behind the Heelis hit so didn't see an elbow. I'll watch out for it on the highlights.
Heelis was winding him up all night. He threw a perfectly fine hit on a Panthers player and Gagnon and another guy had to come steaming in. You won't win games in the penalty box. I can see why Panthers are where they are in the league. After Fife basically playing with 5 forwards, and being knackered in the third, the Panthers just couldn't finish us off.
I expect us to get tanked at Sheffield tomorrow being short and tired.

Have you listened to Neilsons post game nterview. 🙄
Our forwards were flying. We dominated them. Their goalie was hot. Fife went to work on the powerplay (eh they scored one) But for a bounce here it would have been a very different score line.
Get real man,WE LOST to them AGAIN......thank god you've been sacked you idiot !!!!!

Agree about ties, but it is what it is I guess. Decent result considering we tied it up with the goalie pulled in the 3rd. Give over Yotes. That's the sort of quote i would expect from a Dundee or Guildford fan after they'd just lost in O/T to one of the big four ! 🙄 At 4-3 down with 2 minutes left, I'll take a loser point normally. Fife aren't mugs this year. You spend most threads telling us how rubbish the team is, so why would you expect them to go into Fife and win?

Fife played most of the 3rd with eight skaters?

If we do beat The Caps tomorrow, I'll be disappointed with the 5 points. They were there for the taking. I know that a 5 point weekend wasn't to be sniffed at before the weekend started however this was a frustrating result.
Apologies if this has been bought before but how come there is no protective glass behind the Penalty Box. Any idiot fans could try anything.

In fairness Gagnon has been quite well disciplined this season, the main culprits of our indiscipline have been Billingsley and Sauve, who both made silly decisions tonight. Your guys didn’t give up though, you play like a team and you’re clinical, something I wish we could be, you relied on Iles at times but good teams do, unfortunately I don’t feel we can do that with Garnett. Anyway I hope you turn them lot over tomorrow.

A point from being a goal down with a minute to play, yes most people would take that. But the game is played over sixty minutes not one and if we had anything about us we should be despatching little teams with ease nine times out of ten. I haven't checked, but go have a look at our record against Fife over the last couple of seasons,we've lost to them three times this season and at least twice last season. We must have lost about five out of the last seven games against them. For a team with Panthers resources against Fife's resources, that is bloody appalling ! How on earth is that happening ?

Imagine what Cardiff must think losing to a even lower budget team in Manchester.

Probably true but there seems to be a fair number on here who believe 6th or 7th is ok as they will play one of these low budget teams in playoffs.

Flyers are a better team than us based on standings and that barn has always been a tough, tough place to get anything from.
I don’t know whether I’m happy or not. Just coasting through as a fan until playoffs now!

We shouldn’t be happy with a point in Fife. Aspirations should be higher than that, but I guess being happy with a point shows just how poor we are and how sloppy we’ve become under the current regime. As for the play offs,it doesn’t matter if we get Fife or Manchester,Belfast or Sheffield. We’ve struggled against them all.
I wouldn’t put 50p on Panthers winning the play offs. This team seems totally incapable of stringing four good performances together !

It’s always others, bad bounces, hot goalies, bus legs, fatigue, poor calls etc etc. Never the fact that he recruited a poor team, that there’s no motivation,or that the club sits on its backside doing as little as they can possibly get away with.

Apologies if this has been bought before but how come there is no protective glass behind the Penalty Box. Any idiot fans could try anything. Can you remember at LPS when we had the same ? Or when we only had nets on the end with no glass around the sides, and the penalty box was open.. Remember that player coming over to Pete Broadhurst sat in the penalty box grab his head by the ears and smashing his face twice into the top of the boards followed by throwing him to the floor and diving over the boards to roll around fighting at the feet of those Panthers fans sat in the front row. No fan got involved.... I wonder where these idiot fans that you talk about came from ?

I thought they’d been ordered to sort the bench/glass player access problem out. Last season was it ?

Think there's some kind of plexi there now but barely 2ft tall if that. If anything needs implementing at Fife, it's a cage, bunch of animals.

Are Fife playing their reserve team tonight ? Steelers don't seem to be getting any bad bounces, wrong end of power plays, having any trouble converting chances etc. I guess Flyers goalie is not very hot tonight and the Sheffield forwards are soaring in the stratosphere ! 🙄🙄

We're 4/5 imports short (thanks!) and have our back-up in.

Someone who was at the Fife arena saying the Fife fan got a bit hostile towards Panthers players and fans?
