Here’s a question. If you were picking this years Panthers MVP right now, who would you choose ? Because I’m sorry to say....but I don’t think we’ve got one worth the title ! #asadexcuseforaclub Perlini, Gagnon or Mok Mok has been awol for weeks. Glaringly obvious as he is such a skilled player. An absolute shadow of what he was September October time.

The strange thing about our defence this year is that individually i dont have a problem with any of them. Yet our defensive record is crap. Personally i think all our problems are up front. We lack passing ability and sustained meaningful preasure. And this lers our defence down. Sauve is always getting caught out of position. Just watch the highlights from last night when they go up. How things change. I recall pre-slump folks saying we’d be lucky to keep Sauve and Gagnon was just a scrapper.

There is a perfectly good proven coach still sat in Sheffield looking for a job GERAD ADAMS He has a job. A fairly well paying one which doesn't involve having to deal with Gary Moran's meddling nor Neil Black's seeming indifference to anything but the profit margin.

There is a perfectly good proven coach still sat in Sheffield looking for a job GERAD ADAMS It’s not only EIHL has-beens that should be coaching here now. That’s just a gravy train with no moving forward at all.

There is a perfectly good proven coach still sat in Sheffield looking for a job GERAD ADAMS I've wanted Gerad here for years ! Look at the sides he built in Cardiff on a shoestring budget then is successful in Sheffield only to be poo poo on

The problem being that all these coaches were knocking around a couple of years ago when Corey was supposedly not coming back and not one of them including anyone else applied for the job. Talk about back tracking and then asking Corey to come back, no wonder he asked for a two year deal. No one wants to work under the current regime. Even the current squad have had their eyes opened & I'll be very surprised if we keep any of them.

1st and last game of the season for me last night. In fact i will not spend another pound on this team until there has been major changes. I hadn't attended a game in 18 months and the tactics are identical what they were before, its insane. Dump and no chase. Pass to the blue line for a slapshot on the pp. Thank you Panthers for reminding me why I struggle to justify £60 a game.

Dan Green sent out on the OS to provide official club reaction to last night. The same Dan Green that deals with Housing & 'Related Issues'.

I thought that was odd as well, looks like the young Brits were out skating with Stevie Lee this morning - Corey is AWOL!

I do know that they did ask GERAD if he would be interested in the job and he said yes then they gave Nelson a new deal

If the status of MVP implies that we would want him back next year, then it would be Gagnon or Billingsley because you'd think that Perlini's GB passport guarantees him a job. Sadly, I wouldn't take Mokshantsev back, for his undoubted talent he's a luxury we can't afford. Unless you dramatically upgrade the forwards we have, which won't happen as we've got too many grinders (#7,19,74,16,91) and you know that at least 3 of these will be back next season, so even if we replace all the import forwards you can guarantee they won't be flair players.

Put simply we were out fought out thought, out worked, out played & Out coached Along with a complete lack of cohesion and team work. As others have said it be but glaringly obvious that quite a few of the players are a shadow of that which they were this past September & October time. Only a matter of time before it happens to Pither i'm sure. Neilson may have been physically at the game last night but his mind already seems elsewhere.....

Just to add my own thoughts on the game; Panthers looked like a disorganised rabble out there, in the few games I've seen since Nov / end of the CHL it seems everyone plays us the same way - heavy forecheck on the D and pounce on the turnovers. Belfast last night had two guys forechecking our D all the time (I'm sure they did it once whilst they were shorthanded!) and then three across the blueline, which meant Panthers couldn't break out properly and our D (mainly Sauve) trying to walk the puck out himself and turning it over.

Derlago got MOM.
Galbraith would be my season MVP to date. Mokshantsev should be but all that early season promise/obvious talent has clearly been coached out of him. But at least he knows CN’s systems now.
As for Adams as coach, would love to see it. He seems like a no nonsense, straight talking, takes no BS kind. Doesn’t strike me as a ‘yes’ man. Rules him out.
Let’s face it, our beloved club is rotten from the top down. It’s getting worse year on year. Need a completely new slate.

But he would love to get back into it I think we need a “we want Gerad” chant. He is exactly what the club needs, somebody who’s not afraid to kick some ass and put some fight into the club. Honestly people,it’s about time some serious noise was made about this bloody shambles....in the arena at the next game !

There is a perfectly good proven coach still sat in Sheffield looking for a job GERAD ADAMS Gerad isn’t looking for a job, he has a very good secure job which he loves, he certainly isn’t sat in Sheffield waiting for someone to offer him a average insecure position.

There is a perfectly good proven coach still sat in Sheffield looking for a job GERAD ADAMS Gerad isn’t looking for a job, he has a very good secure job which he loves, he certainly isn’t sat in Sheffield waiting for someone to offer him a average insecure position. But,but,it cannot be......this is the Nottingham Panthers calling. The biggest club by a country mile in British ice hockey history, they play in the fabulous, world famous in fact NIC arena,a team with a huge budget,a team every player wants to play for,or surely should do. It's an opportunity not to be missed,a once in a lifetime opportunity,to coach in front of many many thousands of loyal fans every game, not to mention working closely with the most fantastic GM any coach could ever wish for. And if that's not enough,it's even more attractive when one can work for the best, most astute businessman the world has ever seen. Surely, this has to be extremely attractive to a mere postal worker, crikey the last time it was advertised many many many years ago now,the Panthers told us they were absolutely inundated,in fact swamped by interest from all over the world. Not just your regular guys either, top notch guys who had even coached a couple of games in the East Coast Hockey League, some guys were even prepared to give up their playing career just to become the Panthers coach. Even recruiting is a doddle,it's easy, just sit back and watch the thousands of CVs which flood in every summer from quality players, real quality guys all desperate to wear the Panthers shirt and experience the wonderful delights of an iconic city. When you hit the ice,wow just wow, wait until the first of dozens of titanic clashes through the season between your new charges and the Steelers from up the road. The biggest rivalry in Europe undoubtedly, maybe even the world, your mind will be blown just with the atmosphere. Yes they beat us more than often, but at least you will have seen first hand the benchmark to aspire to. That's not even the best bit either. If by any slim chance things were to go a little wrong, say around Christmas or something,no need to worry, there's no pressure, none at all. The GM will give you a list as long as your arm of excuses to use,not flakey ones either, tried and trusted ones that have been used successfully on the fans and media alike for many years. Bus legs, long travel, tired players, over trained, too old,too young maybe, bad bounces or even a hot goalie or two if you're getting a bit desperate. Other trusted allies will also come to your defence too,Mr Black will provide a little extra money and even give you at least three months grace to spend it,just as long as you get "the right guy" in the end and don't waste it on any of the other three hundred or so willing candidates. It won't be a lot of money, just enough to get you by,win one of the lesser tinpot trophies, secure your job for the next two seasons and save Mr Black from having to miss a Spurs game by having to sift through all those damn coaching CVs yet again if he sacked you. Maybe even that radio icon Dan Green will help you out with a few helpful thoughts too,he might even rope in some old mates to help protect you if you ask him nicely. If it goes a little more wrong than first thought, gets a little too hot maybe, still don't worry, the club will just step in and ban any dissenters. It's what they do,they certainly won't sack you so don't worry, they'd rather sit quiet and say nowt, that's just how it is in Pantherland. What more could a guy really want eh ? Who could possibly turn down the biggest job in ice hockey.....who indeed !!!

They know they’ve played absolutely crap, but 1500 still stand there clapping like performing sea lions. 🙄
