Manchester Phoenix are finally back on home ice... tonight's game against Basingstoke Bison is well and truly underway.
Good for them, sayeth I... and I'm looking forward to a little Panthers housewarming party up there next Sunday.
Anyone else going? (the NPSC coach is apparently full, which is great news)

I work in that area, so I'm hoping to catch most of their midweek backlog games. Shaggy - do you know if they will have all the seats fitted by next Sunday, or will tickets be scarce?

Not sure, but I know who to ask... I will enquire and post the answer on here. And the reply I have had is:- Tonight ran at 1000 capacity. (750 seats, 250 standing.) At a guess, we might be at 1250 (1000 seats, 250 standing) for the weekends games. Won't know until later this week.Based on the above, my guess (personal opinion only) is that driving up on spec might be a bit risky. Try the Phoenix website to see if there are details on how to get tickets? - or who to contact officially to ask? I'll keep in touch with the author of the above, and post any more updates as I get them.

hopefully more rinks like these can be builtin the UK, because soon places like the NIC will be priced out of the average rec/junior or womens teams so we need more small basically just rinks where you can play and not pay over £200 for and hour

And what's just happened to the Lions means Nottingham needs an ICE RINK, and not a concert venue ASAP.

We have 2 ice rinks. We could have had none. Be thankful - like Manchester are. Didn't realise the place was so small though.
