I noticed seats for the playoffs are half price for a "restricted view ticket".
Could anyone tell me what the restricted view seats are like? ie. how bad the view is restricted and by what?
Thanks.

Every two minutes the bloke behind you puts a brown paper bag over your head, and sellotapes it on.

Lol to that Baz!
I know that at a concert they sell tickets as restricted view when there is a chance you might be sat at the edge of the stage or have a cable or two hanging in your way, on the other hand these "restricted view" seats may be the best seats you could have picked. . .the arena just has to cover themselves.
So I would say at hockey restricted view would be where you could have a barrier in front of view so like the blue things on each block or like if they put the extra seats (block 20) in again then that may be restricted or block 1 or 19 I suppose could be a bit restricted, I sit in 18 at every match and never have a problem so don't think there'd be too much of a restriction . . . Do you know exactly where the tickets are 'cuz then I can tell you exactly what it'd really be like?!

Ask Lucy and Runnerbean about 'restricted view'! Still costs her as much for a season ticket though.

Ask Lucy and Runnerbean about 'restricted view'! Still costs her as much for a season ticket though. We also have 2 (out of 4) restricted view Season Tickets seats. They are Gold and still cost the same as the other two. Restricted seats are often those next to the 'Walls' where the entrances on to the Ice Arena are. Example, Player benches, Penalty Box, announcers area, Zamboni entrance etc. as you cannot see over the wall to the other end of the ice unless you are a bit 'taller' than most.

Nat,
The tickets were Block 15, row H, seats 1 & 2 or Block 17, row J, seats 14 & 15.

Thanks loveday, surely your season tickets should be reduced aswell?!!
Does it mean you can't see part of the ice surface then?

The Panthers don't do league titles. Not even Carlsberg can manage that!

I sat in one for the final v Blaze. Go for it. I saved a packet and still had a better seat than most Panthers fans behind me. There was no restriction, just a tiny barrier.

Its quite rare to offered restricted view for hockey, im guessing in that block its the benches or the tunnel entry that blocks it.
Does anyone know if they will be putting seating on the stage again this year and if so how much?

Ask Lucy and Runnerbean about 'restricted view'! Still costs her as much for a season ticket though. We HAVE to lean forwards to see the game, otherwise we see a brick wall! Then we lean over to give grief to the opposition ;D

Does anyone know if they will be putting seating on the stage again this year and if so how much? I would guess it depends on the ticket sales in general.if it looks like being a sell out then I`d imagine they would put them in.

Thanks loveday, surely your season tickets should be reduced as well?!! Does it mean you can't see part of the ice surface then? As Lucy has said, We HAVE to lean forwards to see the game, otherwise we see a brick wall. All we miss (Not me) is the one Corner, unless you look over the wall. All depends who is sitting behind you and next to you. We do not find it too much of a problem. You get used to it. Tickets are definitely not reduced. Also we have to pay FULL price as well for all 4, even though 2 are for Children, but in Gold Blocks there is only one level and that is Adults. No Children and no Concession prices. You take your pick and pay accordingly.

Thats the guy with the paper bag in front of you .....get him back..... Seriously I would imagine 7 H8/9 are ok.
Just to mention my season tickets are Block 5 H 20/21 and we get full view really, only a 'no sniff' of the very corner in front of blocks 1/2.
So further down block 5 H 24 to 26 will have that restriction of the blue railing/fence. But you'd merely be warned of the grief before being asked for the full asking price I assume. Not fair if that is so.

Steelered,
I've just been into the Arena to have a look at those seats at block 15 you will have a blue barrier and small fire exit sign in front of you which will obstruct a clear view from the centre of the ice. In block 17, seat 1 has a wall next to it which you can slightly lean forward to see round and seat 2 has the top of a blue barrier slightly obstructing your view, but i would say out of the two blocks, 17's probably your best bet.
Hope this helps!!

"Restricted View" mean you get a really poor view of hockey..................so basically you only get to watch Sheffield and Hull games..............
