Overall I thought we played much better but there were still a few too many wobbly moments and missed chances creeping in. Hopefully the start of an upward trend now.

Good to see Tetlow getting some proper game time, he looks decent! he’s looked the part so far, maybe it’s time for Corey to play him every game, give him shifts and keep the defence fresh, he’ll learn a hell of a lot more that way He was OK in the match in the cup away to Steelers. I dont know why he wasn't given a run in the Wednesday debacle against Steelers. Definitely a good prospect and showed good composure.

First game I have enjoyed for a few weeks - still looked a little nervous at times but think that is due to lack of confidence, maybe the win will ease that a bit - think for once every player was trying (sometimes a bit too much) - Anyway glad of the win - more please

Good win and lots of effort and chances,we should have scored at least 2 more but Perlini and Lacho missed two sitters.
Blaze only seemed to threaten on the PP so I think 4-3 flattered them to be honest.
The relief when the final hooter was evident from both the players and the fans, hopefully a corner has been turned.

They have clearly lost that expectation to win as every goal seemed like a celebration of relief.
The goals we scored were really high quality. The build up play was a bit sluggish and we dump the puck and play from behind the goal far too much for my liking.
However, when you’re in a slump you have to start somewhere and a win when you’re slightly short and have two players returning is good news all round.
A new signing before wednesday?

Much better performance but not particularly great - a nice 2nd period but 1st and 3rd weren’t much to shout about. You could tell there was a different atmosphere amongst the team though.
Hopefully getting rid of Shalla will have kicked the others into gear along with the common knowledge that Corey has 2 new guys lined up. ...probably turn out to be some average Euro’s who pose no actual threat to starting roster places & the kick is soon lost.

Certainly looks like problems behind the scene. Cut one player and a sea change in performance. Far from perfect, too many cheap turnovers, mostly from Lee but good effort and forwards finding the net. Clarke had his best game for some time and why is Tetlow not getting more ice time?

So much better.
How much of that is down to Shalla leaving? How much is down to Mosey and/or Galbraith returning?
Heard tonight that all the imports were put on two weeks notice after Sheffield debacle, no idea how true that is? Also heard that one of our new signings is in the country already and is as good as signed. Again, not sure how true this is?
Needed that win. Back it up at the sky dome and things will look a little more rosy.

A win is a win no matter how you get it and after the last month I’d have taken anything.
Think the team played well and I do like the line changes. Think Perlini, Phillips and Derlago will work well and should hopefully start getting the goals.
Think the way Blaze play is perfect for us though, zero forechecking. If they applied any pressure on our D we would have found ourselves in the same issues we have had for weeks. We made a few mistakes at the back but Blaze only looked like scoring on the PP so when they got one with 2mins left I was a little worried.
Now that win is out the way I hope we can push on and win tomorrow and midweek with new signings ready for next weekend. Oh Mokshantsev goal was very nice.

Bussie has a brilliant game tonight! Was shocked to see Zack get MOTM. Great to have Mosey back.

It's a win - I'll take it!
Far from a 'great' performance, but miles ahead of the debacle on Wednesday... that actually looked like a team out there instead of a bunch of individuals. Some very good individual performances as well.
Great to see Tetlow getting some proper ice time... definitely more needed of that!
Make no mistake... there's still a massive amount of improvement required, and it is not going to be a quick job and it is not going to be an easy job. But a start has been made.

Fantastic? Brilliant? Excellent? Absolutely nowhere near these words. However it was a greatly improved performance where we were doing the things we hadn’t been in previous games.
Simple plays, finishing some hits and putting the puck on net are basics that we hadn’t been doing, we did it last night and it got us the result we deserved. We had numerous chances to put the game away sooner however I’m not surprised we struggled due to being low on confidence from the atrocious run of results.
Having Galbraith back is crucial for me, another start and another win. For as well as Garnett did recently I do not have the confidence in him to keep us in a close game the same way I do with Galbraith.
Tetlow did well with the shifts he had, did the tasks he was obviously instructed and I hope this is the start of him picking up a few more shifts in the back end of the season.
It was a hard worked win, and whilst we may not go on a massive winning run the effort levels showed yesterday must continue as that was the biggest change from the most recent games and it was refreshing to see!
