Not the most scintillating of games, but hey ho... they got the job done nonetheless. The PP is still frustrating and (my own personal bugbear) they are still dumping-and-chasing way more than I'd like to see... but it didn't make enough of a difference tonight (next Sunday may be a different matter!). Patrick Galbraith is a major find... we really do have two #1 netminders, and then there's Sam Gospel as well (who surely has to get the start up in Manchester for the last CC group game). Galbraith really had a good game tonight - some very good stops. Anyone know what's wrong with Shalla? I’d be looking to get Galbraith signed up for next season and beyond!! Certainly a good addition to the squad & I agree that he should be re-signed for next season; I was really impressed with him last week against the Flames.

I've been impressed with galbraith since he came in, I've not been overly impressed with Garnett given his resume, although he's been steady enough and has come up big in the big games (Chloe and Steelers away game). Based on what I've seen of both of them is say the starting spot should be galbraiths to lose right now.

I have to say whilst I think Garnett is a top goalie, I can’t help but think the D seem more comfortable with Galbraith’s style so far. If we’re away in Fife, I’d play Galbraith. He just seems to have something about him that suits these games. But in those nigh European nights, Garnett was huge. What a dilemma to have. Much different to last season when Miika’s quality was so much more obvious than Pacls!

If start playing Galbraith in all the 'ugly' games and that includes the 2 remaining away games in Cardiff as Garnett has been shelled twice there now! PG really does impress me too. Leave Garnett to the home games and potential cup semis/finals

Use Garnett in the arenas and I think we’ll do great. Worst part for an opposition coach is they can’t prepare for one goalie because either could be I. And both are more than capable!

From all I've seen and heard, when we've lost it has apparently been more about the D-men and less about the netminders.

Garnett appears to be a big game goalie thriving in the most high pressure situations more often than not with the ability to win us a game on his own. I would play him exclusively in our conference games and cup quarterfinals etc.
Galbraith is very good, not spectacular but so very very solid. As described I would use him in the so called ugly games as these often are banana skins for us and I feel he will keep us in any game.

I don't believe the defence has been much different in front of either goalie, I just feel Galbraiths concentration levels are better for longer periods. Since he's arrived he hasn't put a foot wrong

Comfortable win for the Panthers last night, Braehead are poor though and I feel had we been in full swing it could have ended very badly for them.
Goaltending wise I have to say I am an agreement and feel that Galbraith has impressed me the most so far. The stats back that up so far as well I feel.
Garnett EIHL - 10 games, .892% CC - 3 games, .908% CHL - 7 games, .923%
Galbraith EIHL - 4 games, .943% CC - 1 game, .957% CHL - 1 game, .849%
We can see in league and cup games Galbraith’s stats are very impressive and Garnett’s are below par, in comparison to his CHL stats.
In the CHL Garnett’s performances have undoubtedly been a big part of our success, so it backs up the statement that he is more of a big game player, plus who can forget the away win in Sheffield where he carried us on his back to get the points. It’s unfair to Galbraith though if we didn’t play him in the big games after how impressive he’s been so far.
It’s a good dilemma to have though and whoever we do play I will be more than confident with them in net.

Possibly the worst Clan team I have seen in the arena - just glad I do not have to watch them at every home game - just goes to show what a difference a coach like Finniky can make (doing a good job at Manchester so far

Galbraith's been good, but the sample size for his stats is still a bit limited to draw conclusions for me.
I believe he's faced teams like Caps, Blaze, Flames and Clan, where you'd expect us to keep the score down. When he faced Giants, probably the best test to date domestically, he conceded 3, which isn't terrible or anything, but maybe his stat line will converge with Mike's when he's faced a few of the other bigger teams?
As said, nice problem to have, although may need careful managing from Corey.
