From where I was sat Gagnons cut looked like it came from a clash of heads. Pretty nasty.

Very entertaining game, glad to get the 2 points against them. They aren't anything special, we should win most of our games against them if we are to win the league.
Garnett was fantastic. Off the puck we are pretty good in defence it's when we have the puck that the issues begin, just clear the bloody zone. I know you don't want to give up an icing but sometimes that is the only option. We got lucky that Garnett was on his A game and Sheffield didn't take their chances.
Farmer's goal was outstanding composure and skill and came at a very good time. Totally changed the momentum going into the dressing room after one.
Disappointed that we sat back in the third, understandable that we did it against Turku but Sheffield are a different matter and there for the taking. We could have won by 3 or 4 had we gone for it in the last period, I want to see Corey having confidence in the side to play their natural game and get the job done because they have all the talent to do that.
Gagnon and Fitzy have now had two amazing scraps. I'd give Gagnon the win on both just about but both deserve massive credit for staying on their feet.
All in all 2 points is the main thing but still a lot of room for improvement. We all know how good this side can be and we are seeing glimpses of it.

I thought it was a good performance. My biggest concern is Shalia I'm not sure he has what it takes to perform in our league, like to be proved wrong. Both Shalla and Derlago are both absent in the domestic league so far.

Highlights up of the Sheffield game but only two minutes long any reason why they are so short ? They always put a "goals" package up before the full highlights. Although had they won, the highlights would be out already.

Echo the sentiments of peeps who said they will never go to Sheffield again. I'm one of those people. You have to have principles and as that Club actively supports and protects a homophobic racist you need to stand against this. Okay only a few people may do this , but at least I don't have to listen to his bile and hatred whilst at a game. If you are a neutral the Sheffield match night experience knocks ours hollow. Both Sheffield and Nottingham have people involved who say things first and think later. Not an excuse but very true.

Sauve needs to stop taking dumb late penalties. And Gagnon needs to learn when to fight, because he shouldn't have taken Fitzgerald on when he did last night as Panthers were well on top at that stage !

Almost like taking a backward step several years. Some of the D passing across our packed goal is stupid and we were exhausted in the 3rd. Should have iced the puck before thier 2nd and possibly called a time out. The dumb penalty with 2 minutes to go was daft especially there. I would have bet the house they were going to equalise.

I think it was more gagnon repaying the favour and obliging as Fitzgerald had the week before. Two great blokes doing the toughest job in the game with some honour. The netminder you chaps have picked up looks a corker, best I've seen in some time.

I thought the fight killed our momentum somewhat...so possibly Fitzgerald timed it perfectly.

I don't think it killed our momentum either, Gagnon won the fight and got bust open for the boys, they would have reacted to that I'm sure.

They got worse and worse after that as the game went on. Then Corey in his interview blamed the players for sitting back in the 3rd period. Errrr....last time I looked HE was the coach !!!! 🙄

It did kill our momentum because we were rubbish after the fight I felt.

Gagnon being cut open was unfortunate but it must have given the Steelers a boost. If it was the other way round I know we have been boosted. Mosey, Shalla, Derlago and Clarke need to up the effort/output etc.

I think Neilson may have told them to back off to hit them on the break but I think we were very tired, anyway we won, when we weren't playing our best, in Sheffield, I'm sure we can be happy about that!

Highlights up of the Sheffield game but only two minutes long any reason why they are so short ? Said on the link the full highlights will follow today (Sunday). At the game, all Shuff's goals were in full & slow mo, all the build up etc; Panthers goals were generally a cut or missed. Disappointing really.

IF they’d have fought earlier in the year I guarantee in those circumstances Ern would’ve obliged the request

Thought we’d win last night for some reason, so despite being at work in deepest, darkest Rotherham, Doncaster & Scunthorpe, I wasn’t concerned when it was a tied game.
Always good to beat that lot.

Perhaps they should be more concerned about this! Jamie Black‏ @jamieblackeihl
Steelers player "gun shooting" action at the crowd is totally unacceptable and beyond abhorrent. @officialeihl should be fast & strong here
But perhaps Tony Smith will think otherwise.

Jamie Black didn't say which game at the weekend, but one tends to think the Panthers, which was in the end I think a webcast.
