Theres going to be a lot of games this season, so a bit hard perhaps on Gospel, but we shouldn't be flapping in case of an injury in that area.

Is it a coincidence that we bring in an extra goalie 2days before we play Steelers? #ArmstrongEffect

Goaltending unit looks absolutely rock solid. Good work.

We've been spoilt with this signing, what a set of goalies we have now! Galbraith has a great resume, he spent a season in the DEL last season with Krefeld and he has plenty of experience in better leagues than ours.
Well done Panthers for being proactive and brining in a spare before goalie before we encounter any issues.
There's a good feeling around the club currently.

This is massive for us. We want to be competing on all fronts and this allows us to. Sammy is a great goalie but if you've got 2 in 2 versus Steelers then devils, rotating 2 genuine starters will be a bigger advantage to us.
Gospel will be a starter one day I'm certain but he's still young. He'll get his ice time I'm sure

Just hope we hang in to everybody. Really solid netminding, keep the rest of the squad and maybe we can do some real damage.

Very good addition, play the hot goalie and rotate when it comes to the CC. Allow gospel to two way with a team to keep him sharp. This signals that the league is our goal along with progress in the CHL (into the last 8 maybe). We need to nail Gospel down to a long term contract, coach him right, give him his ice time and build him into a starting netminder like Bowns has become in Cardiff. Good signing panthers, shows ambition.

For those who watched the TV coverage v Turku, perhaps Corey might instruct Gagnon to do what he ordered him to do, but to Armstrong. "hey you - next time you get to him F--------- bump him".

We may rotate the 2 imports , but in the UK games we are not going to have an import nettie on the bench and have to cut an import skater.

With Fitzgerald back in the line up I can see Armstrong thinking he can do what he wants as he has back up. Think we'll see a few gloves dropped. I'd like to think if even a stick is left in on Garnett/Gospel that someone will throw a punch. We've got a lot of toughness in our team. Gagnon, Sauve, Bussieres, Brown and Bresibois (spelling?) so we're good on that front. Let's hope we play like we did Tuesday and really out thommo in some hot water.

Sometimes its good to take a step back and look at things. This signing has made me do this yet again. If you'd have told me 10 years ago that the Panthers would be playing four line hockey, and competing with and beating some of the best teams in Europe, id have thought you were bonkers. To top it all off, if you said we'd sign a netminder who is a Danish international and played in the DEL the previous year I'd have snapped your hand off. Then tell me hes come in as a backup!! Id have called for the men in white coats. The little things are starting to build up. Christ, we have some ambition. It might not always pay off, but we should be grateful. These are good times to be a fan of the Nottingham Panthers

Wow, all credit to the club, absolutely great signing. Can't say there's a lack of ambition this year.

there could be another reason why we have signed such a high profile netminder as back-up, and that is because he won't be the back up. Fanss did worry that the downside of success in the CHL is that we are prone to players being offered big money contracts elsewhere. If one player has done enough to put himself in the shop window for a move it's Garnett.

If one player has done enough to put himself in the shop window for a move it's Garnett. While Garnett's performances in the CHL have been incredible and I'm sure there are plenty of higher profile teams that would take him, I seriously doubt he would leave. He's 34, he's played at some of the highest levels of hockey there are, and now, realistically, he's into the later stages of his career. He's got to be thinking about life after hockey. Let's be honest, that's the reason he's here in the first place. Without the University deals, last year Garnett wouldn't have even heard about the Nottingham Panthers. I would be very surprised if he doesn't finish his degree before moving on. Mok will be the one to be poached if anyone. Joined as a fourth liner and has seriously proved to be one of our most skilled forwards at 22 years old. I hope whatever they were paying him has risen significantly or I could see him heading elsewhere.

Yeah garnett has been good but if someone is getting pinched it's moshankshev. That guy has huge potential and is young. The guy is awesome. He makes a few mistakes occasionally but he is young and learning. He is quick feisty excellent going forward and does the work backchecking. I love that he is obviously skilled but he still puts in the grunt work.

Let's hope the undoubted excellent team spirit between this years team, plus maybe a few extra £s if needed is enough to keep them all together.
