looks good doesn't it ! so far the teams that have qualified are Tampere, Jyvyskala (Finland), Vaxjo, Frolunda, Malmo, Brynas (Sweden), Liberec, Brno (Czech Rep.), Mannheim, Munich (Germany) and some other team, plus 5 others to be decided, from Salzburg (AUT) or Wolfsburg(Germany), Vienna (AUT) or Zug (Switz.), Trinec (Czech) or Jonkoping (Sweden), Berne (Switz), Turku (Finland) or Mountfield (Czech), Zurich(Switz) or Klagenfurt (AUT). With the exception of our group, where all 3 other teams are still in the hunt, the two teams still in with a chance play each other next week.

I assuming the draw will consist of 2 pots with 1 containing the group winners and they will play 1 of the group runners up.
I saw the tweet explaining it all last night and it looked rather convoluted.

If anyone is interested the Mountfield/Bern match is being streamed live on the Bet365 app. Currently Mountfield winning 2-1 but it's early in the 1st.

3-1 now. Winning the group would make up seed #8 (hilarious) and would give us a tie against a runner up, and we’d get the 2nd leg at home.
If you’d have told me that 2 months ago I’d have laughed in your face

It would mean picking up points in Turku, but we could get even higher.

Can someone tell me why they need to give each team a seeding when it'll be group winners VS runners Up please?

Can someone tell me why they need to give each team a seeding when it'll be group winners VS runners Up please? Later stages. If 6 of the group winners get the quarter finals, only the top four seeds get home advantage.

What a great save by the Mountfield N/M, more history made. Was fun seeing all the views go up and then down on Youtube at the end (I wonder where all those people were watching from lol)
Bern now in danger of not qualifying

Anyone know who's definitely in the 2nd pot, I'm hoping that we can get a German, Czech and maybe an Austrian side

I have also just thought that one of the other group winners could end up with playing Bern in the 2nd Round and you never know a very high seeded team could get knocked out.

What an amazing thing this team have done, I'm still in disbelief. From getting thrashed last time around and conceding double figures, to now being group winners, unbelievable.
Corey dragged the league into playing four line hockey by starting it with the Panthers and it has done wonders for the development of all players, especially the British ones. Just seeing Ollie Betteridge out there chasing down the likes of Tallinder, a player with nearly 700 NHL games under his belt, it gives me much joy knowing that Corey trusts him and believes he brings something to the plate, it makes me proud.
We now look ahead. We need to do our best to get the building packed to the rafters for the home leg, they deserve and need as much support as possible, we make the atmosphere and believe then who knows what can happen.

the only definite group winners at this stage are Tampere, Frolunda and us. In Group B Brno play Malmo with Malmo needing a regulation win to go through as leaders. In Group C Jyvaskala play Grodno only needing to avoid regulation defeat to go through as leaders. In Group D Mannheim play Esbjerg only needing a point yo be certain of winning the group. In Group E Vaxjo are a point ahead of Liberec, Vaxjo host Cardiff, Liberec go to Davos. In Group G Brynas host Munich needing to avoid a regulation defeat to win the group.

Like Ashfield says, some are likely to be group leaders, just not confirmed yet. Austrian: Salzburg Klagenfurt Vienna German: Wolfsburg Munich Mannheim Czech: Liberec Trinec Brno Swedish: Malmo Vaxjo Jonkoping Brynas Swiss: Zug Zurich Finnish: Jyvaskla

Interestingly, there are currently no Swiss teams through to the last 16 and the 3 that can still qualify (Davos eliminated) 2 HAVE to win their final games or they are out of it. In Bern's case they have to win in regulation. OT win will see Mountfield win the Head-to-Head. Although all 3 are at home so will probably all progress. Would be slightly amusing to see a powerhouse league outqualified by Britain though.

Can Cardiff still qualify? No unfortunately not as they're 5 points behind 2nd place.
