Thing that ruins it for me is the sponsors all over them, makes them look cheap. Compare it to a clean crisp NHL jersey and you just don't get the same impact. Design is alright for all 3 but I always think that the shirts will look better over pads and the whole team in them not just a player without pads and jeans on. At least we've stuck to our colours this year. Just wait one minute. Plenty of time left to unroll the 'Special' charity, Christmas and whatever colours yet..lol But as you say the domestic team colours for the main programme of games at least.

And Panthers are black (in the British sense). Away colour writes itself of course... pink (can imagine that thread already). I'm surprised GM hasnt done a pink panther theme. As daft as it sounds, doing those shirts for breast cancer research wouldn't be a bad shout! They could skate onto the ice to the pink panther theme! A whole night of fun! Rumor would have it a few years ago the Vipers (senior womens team) floated the idea of being re-branded Nottingham Pink Panthers to create a bit association between the teams and to bring them in line with the general 'cat family' of the Nottingham set up, but the idea was poo-pooed by GM!

Bought a Gold CHL Jersey so wasn't going to get a "regular season" jersey anyway.
Black looks pretty much same as last seasons. Gold is OK. I like the White as it's different.
Everyone will have a differing opinions. Life would be boring otherwise!!

I'll be keeping my money in my pocket. The white and 'gold' look gash and the black is very similar to last year's black jersey, so I'll just keep wearing that.
This is the problem when teams churn out new jerseys every season to make money, they eventually start to run out of ideas and you end up with rubbish like this.
And please (if you're reading Nottingham Panthers, which we know you do) bin the custard yellow/gold jerseys. Panthers are traditionally black and away jerseys (at least according to the last EIHL edict) are supposed to be white. What is the point of the other jersey other than to make money?

Trouble is, that's part of the problem right there. You say ditch the yellow/gold in favour of white. Others have said (including in this very thread) ditch the white in favour of yellow/gold. Whatever happens... there will be complaints.

Whatever happens... there will be complaints. Let's pretend, just for a moment, that teams are supposed to follow the rules. If teams play at home in their single 'associated' colour and away in white there should never be an issue with jersey selection on match night. Beside this, what has the yellow/gold got to do with the Nottingham Panthers? Panthers are melanistic big cats, therefore black makes sense. Compared to our conference rivals, indeed compared to most league rivals, we seem most confused as to our identity. As much as there is to dislike about Sheffield it's hard not to admire the sea of orange that features at their home games. A Panthers home game on the otherhand often looks like a jumble sale.

We should have two colours of shirts. Black with a little gold on it and white for away games.
A panther is black....and that's what we should be !

White and only white for away teams? Yellow eyes? By that same logic, what has white got to do with panthers? Anyway, it's pretty much ingrained now... black & gold are the traditional colours of the Nottingham Panthers. A sea of orange... with some teal, some black, some white... Anyway, the most prevalent colour at Sheffield is the colour of the empty seats!

Absolutely. "Plenty of money"? - there's always more money... You would think the NBA would be the same wouldn't you, making lots of money... NBA Jersey's for next seasonFor those not wanting to read / watch: - New Manufacturer Nike over Adidas.
- Addition of Sponsors to Jerseys
- No designated "home Jersey" or "Away Jersey" - the home team can choose.
I imagine the NHL are watching the Sponsorship situation very closely. They don't want it to be patchwork Quilt, but there is money to be made, and that will win out. The often talked about first step is I can see sponsorship appearing on Netminders blocker / Leg pads first.
The odd one is the lack of designation of "Home / Away Jerseys" In all other NA sports (not sure on MLS) the home team has played in "colour" and the Away in white. The NHL has played around with this over the years but has genrally gone with one set being white the other being the teams branded colour. They already have done special nights for alternate (or throwback) and sometimes these are white for home.
On the subject of colour, Remember that the NHL (and NFL and I think NBA) owns the rights to nigh on everything, So Logo changes (Tampa Bay's recently) and Colour Changes (again Tampa) all have to be league approved.

Yep, and they'll no doubt look hideous. Whilst I'd rather there were no ads on NHL jerseys the introduction of ads on their AHL affiliates hasn't led to the end of the earth. Let's not forget though that NHL jerseys have had ads on them for a fair while now though, namely manufacturers logos. Over the years these logos been various sizes, colours and, in the days before league-wide adoption of a single jersey sponsor, were a wide-range of different logos.

Money wise the NHL seems the most MODEST in professional sports. Benchwarmers in the NBA earn as much as stars in the NHL. It makes sense they want to make more money to keep the league viable and maybe increase salaries ensuring talent retention.
The KHL has taking a few scalps in the last few years.

No, that looks acceptable and I think the Marlies had the McDonalds "M" on them a few seasons ago; I know ECHL jerseys invariably have sponsorship on them but it's more if the jerseys are littered with sponsorship that I'm not in favour of personally. Time will tell I guess.

I can imagine that the 'price' to pay is thus high enough to avoid needing more logos on board. ie) You offer 1m , we want 1.3m and we won't put any other logos on, just yours. ' The alternative being 5 logo's at 0.3m each I guess.
