1st Line- IMPORT PHILLIPS IMPORT 2nd Line- FARMER IMPORT BUSSIÈRES 3rd Line- LINDHAGEN BROWN CLARKE 4th Line- MOKSHANTSEV LACHOWICZ BETTERIDGE 13th forward- KELSALL 1st Line D- IMPORT BILLINGSLEY 2nd Line D- GAGNON BRISEBOIS 3rd Line D- SPANG LEE 7th D- TETLOW Starting NM- GARNETT Back up NM- ZAKHARCHENKO Back up NM- GOSPEL There's real potential here especially if the last few signings are the big money (and right) ones. Gagnon looks great and I have a feeling that Mokshantsev could be special. If Spang and Lee are going to be paired then I'd like to see Lee played as stay-at-home because Spanger is clearly talented but loves to go walkabouts. *Crosses everything* #SqueakyBumTime

Feeling quite optimistic about this roster now. If the last 4 signings are quality we would look very competitive to me.
Probably none of these will happen but just for example, if the last 4 signings were Derlago, Mosey, Fox, Lepine, that would look very good and importantly well balanced, at least on paper.
1st Line- DERLAGO PHILLIPS MOSEY
2nd Line- FARMER FOX BUSSIÈRES
3rd Line- LINDHAGEN BROWN CLARKE
4th Line- MOKSHANTSEV LACHOWICZ BETTERIDGE
13th forward- KELSALL
1st Line D- LEPINE BILLINGSLEY
2nd Line D- GAGNON BRISEBOIS
3rd Line D- SPANG LEE
7th D- TETLOW
Starting NM- GARNETT
Back up NM- ZAKHARCHENKO

Would Spang be any good with Lee though? Spang drifts out of position way too much, and Lee is just not very useful unless he has someone solid beside him.
Could be different though, after playing with each other last season they could end up working well together, who knows but on paper it doesn't fill me with much confidence.

Could obviously be totally different but if those 2 are paired together then hopefully it would finally see the end of CN trying to turn Lee into CN Mark 2 (Which is and wasn't ever going to happen).

The d pairing that i hoping for are. Spang- import ( a proper stud who can cover Spangs adventures. Back up toughness would be good but not nessecery. Also a good point shot would be very useful) Lee - Billingsly I think Tim could be perfect next to Lee. A solid 2 way guy who can help more the puck forward but also not leave Lee all by himself. Hopefully brings out thenbest in Lee again and would be a great shut down pairing. Gagnon - Briseboi You just have to put these guy together. Gagnon stay at home guy and Briseboi to help the transition. Plus it'll just be funny to let a feisty player like Briseboi play next to a proper tough guy.

Just hate watching D men play on their off side.... Makes it so difficult for them to clear the zone at times and leads to getting trapped in your own zone, especially against team playing a high for-check.

As long as the last guy is Left it's 3 of each.

As long as the last guy is Left it's 3 of each. No your right. My mistake. For some reason i had it in my head that Spang shot right. Hmm. Well im not sure which of our new guys is the right fit for him. It still might be worth getting a right shot guy to go with him. Only Billingsley is the ine i like in paper. But then that means putting Lee on a line with your stud stay at home guy. Which you know means Lee will be played as a transution guy. Which i dont like. Hmm tricky.

I think one of the best things you can say about this roster is that it is very un-Panthers like. See how it goes but fair play, we asked for change and we've got it.

With the D pairings I think it all depends upon how Billingsley plays, if he is going to be used as a two way transitioning dman, as I hope, then they will look something like:
IMPORT - Billingsley Spang - Lee Gagnon - Brisebois
The remaining import dman should compliment him and be the big bodied, stud dman that we need. This pairing would be defensively sound, capable of shut down other team's first lines, but also being capable of making plays.
Lee and Gagnon would be the stay at home defence men to compliment the creativity of Spang and Brisebois, whilst the latter two being part of the powerplay teams.

Your all very good at pairings and what you would like to see but we're talking about Corey here who doesn't like to stick with set lines unless for the first time since 2013 when Foxy put his foot down he decides to stick with his pairings. He just can't help himself tho'

I still love that analogy of Corey, where somebody said "I bet he has loads of cushions on his settee and spends all evening rearranging them" ! 😂 Lol

All 3 pairings should be decent and capable of sharing the minutes fairly equally.

While Mosey is quality I don't think he d put up points you'd expect of a 1st liner .
Austin Smith would be perfect , and yes Dane Fox would be too

Skill/hands wise he is a little lacking, his speed is his huge asset, especially in our league. I always thought he was most dangerous when playing on D and breaking out with speed from the back, where he can pick up the puck and just fly. Ask him to beat somebody with stick skills or pick a killer pass on the pp though and he isn't gonna do it often enough to be called top line quality. I would love to see him back though.
