Got to be a David Ling or Jeff Brown recommendation, which is more than enough for me to think he's going to be just fine.

When are they going to start spending this "record season ticket sales" money?
Looks a Caps/Fife level signing.

You would have thought this was a David Ling recommendation given the Brampton Beast connection but on the face of it a little underwhelming. Not enough on his CV to give a true reflection on him. However the last signing we made with similar history was Jeff Brown and he turned out to be the best of a bad bunch

Could be good. Obviously hope he is. Looks a big CV downgrade on Waugh and Dimmen but at least it looks like he is capable of playing a full season.

No wow factor here but I'm sure David Ling wouldn't have recommended a dud to us and he hasn't spent the last two seasons on the physio's table(key for an import D-man in this league) so on paper a solid if unspectacular signing.

Sometimes you just want a D man to come in a do a job, nothing flashy nothing spectacular just clear the zone. Good size so let's see if he's solid. Youthful as well so should have plenty in the tank

This guy could go very under rated. To spend all those years in the OHL and be drafted I'd say he had/has potential. Hoping for a reliable d man here who's very durable

As ever with a signing like this it depends who else we sign. He has little on his CV but hopefully still turns out as a Brown/Mosey. I'd expect our last 3 import D(asuming Erik plays as forward) all to be of better pedigree and then I'm happy with this signing.

Isn't the recommendation an assumption rather than a fact? Looks more like a typical Neilson signing to me.

First thoughts on him were he will hopefully turn out to be very much a Nick Toneys (first year!). Barely noticed, does the simple things well, and according to the youtube clip of him returning to Brampton last year, a "big hitter"
sounds good to me as a 3rd/4th dman

Looks like a Brock Wilson type player. If hes as good as him i'll be happy. Guys who are solid in the ECHL tend to do well in our league.
Comparing to our grandslam defence we look somethimg like this:
Werner - Spang Wilson - Billingsly Becket - ? Lepine - ? Lee - Lee
Im happy so far. But i want some quality in our remaining d men.

Maybe, if Brock Wilson was in that team... Billingsley looks a good solid addition though. Only 27, looks a similar output points wise to Dimmen/Waugh but more responsible in his own zone. Shown with guys like Brown in the past that you can have quite a modest CV and do really well here.

Hopefully a bottom pairing partner for Lee and we will get 3 further D men to support Spang with the big minutes. Surely a signing that shows Lindhagen to be a forward. Think we'd be in for a long season with Lee, Spang, Lindhagen and Billingsly making up four of the 6 D men!

Oh well I still want to see a Lepine and Beckett type signing . And then this guys should be a solid addition.

He looks OK, wait and see. Former pick of the Dogs but I won't hold it against him.

Tweet from Jeff Brown:
Great player, great person & awesome teammate. Excited to be reunited with "The Billdozer" for next season. #PanthersNation
...let's hope he's cut from the Brown/Ling cloth rather than Carter/Lawrence.

Decent sized d man who can add points and throw a few checks. Decent. As with anyone with only 2 years pro under his belt, it's a wait and see but Brampton had a good team last year and Linger loves this club and certainly wouldn't advise us to sign a dud!

Anyone described as the Billdozer from Brown, who himself loves to throw a hit, I am happy with.
Good age, hopefully he's solid and then get a few more import D in and we will be fine.
Welcome to Panthers Tim.
