Does this mean Bakala is still in play?

I'd hope he's this seasons Pacl!! Decent stats but not sure I'd want him as a starter.

I'd say so for Bakala, this guys looks good but not our number #1 surely?

Does this mean Bakala is still in play? I'd like to think so!

On paper this looks like a significant downgrade on mika. Hope this is pacl's replacment.

From the article it does sound like there'll still be a number 1 coming in. Not entirely convinced of the 3 netminder ploy, but wish EZ luck, and welcome to Nottingham.

How does the Ukrainian league stack up against the EIHL?

I'm happy with this, I think he can be a top NM. HIs stats look good for club and country.
This was interesting to note, something I didn't know:
Visa paperwork can’t start until next month and will be completed as quickly as possible after the applications can be submitted.

He looks a good prospect but i agree it kind of defeats the object of bringing Gospel in

Hopefully they told Gospel all this before he signed and left all those minutes he's been playing .

An upgrade on Pacl for sure.
I don't think this harms Gospels chances. Corey has said 80 potential games for a starting goalie is too much and whilst we all rate Gospel, if we lose a game that he starts, 100% people are annoyed that we don't have a third goalie to slot in. It's a good move for the club and certainly something I don't have a problem with.
He'll get a chance to play plenty of games and will arguably have enough chances to warrant a move here

His stats were good in the World Championships, playing in the division up from GB.

Looks like a probable upgrade on Pacl to me. Inexperienced and largely unproven at any level, however decent numbers at recent worlds in the group above GB.
I'd expect him to start as number 2 behind a more proven player, but with a real chance he could impress and fight for number 1. Pacl was only ever number 2 and not somebody you'd want to rely on for a large period. This guy may end up being the same, I feel he will be a step up.

This guy looks pretty good, put in some excellent performances in the World Championships by the looks of things. 40 saves against Austria (who only scored 1 passed him), 46 saves against Hungary, etc all teams that will most likely comfortably beat GB next year (heck, Austria beat South Korea 5-0 and Poland 11-0!). I don't think he'll look out of place in the EIHL at all.
Highlights of his games for Ukraine (I was hoping these would be links, rather than embedded...):

Welcome to Zak, this is a good addition to the team, as number 2 goalie he will be very capable, judging from the International D1A stats he is very capable, good stats against better teams then GB. Exciting stuff!

Very happy.
Probably one of the best young, import backups we could've signed. Played exceptionally internationally too.
I hope he gets a bit more ice time than Pacl did, especially in the CC.
Unfortunate for Gospel but we knew we were going to get 2 import G's so it's pointless moaning about that.
