This must be the all time record for lack of interest in a game thread.

Before this thread gets hijacked by two posters in particular for their 'needs' can anybody answer this question please;
On the official site, there are numerous references to the 'big ice surface' in Murrayfield and how some of the Panthers players are not used to it (the size)! Just how big is it in comparison to the NIC?
Edit: Ooooh, I'm too slow!!

According to Wikipedia, it's 200ft x 97ft, whereas ours is 196ft x 97ft.

But the goal frames are an inch smaller at the end Edinburgh defend twice.
Or they were.....before the Caps got found out ! 😂

No one can argue that this was a decent set of results this weekend. And I'm happy we've got some momentum however the thread sums up the apathy of this season. Soon be playoff hockey again mind and we need the build up yadda yadda yadda. To be honest, the game against Sheffield next Friday needs to be the marker going into the playoffs. All the rest are just going through the motions.

This season has been a total failure hockey is dull as dishwater yet the game on Friday is almost a sell out!! Proves a huge proportion are there for non hockey seasons !

I'm really sorry mate, but I have to disagree. The domestic season has been bad, we all know that. But, this season hasn't been a total failure. We won the Continental Cup. The Continental Cup for Christ's sake!!! People on here can slate that for all they want, but they're wrong. Yes, the rise of the CHL has taken away some of the Elite teams that have played in the competition before, and I've heard comments that the quality of the sides we beat was lower than EIHL standards, but that's crap. Odense would more than hold their own here, and the Kazakh team were the fastest, skillful side I've seen all year. Ritten beat Tychy from Poland in the semi and they beat Coventry the year before. Angers Ducs and Donbass were quality sides too. Donbass are previous winners of the Continental Cup. So, have a go at the players all you like, but we won a European trophy, all away from home, looked good doing it, and I personally had a blast watching it all

I and many others meanwhile paid £800 for two season tickets,plus extra for some Euro webcasts.....to watch a season that was 97% crap !

You seem to be having a go at me for replying to the original quote that the season has been a total disaster. I merely pointed out that it hasn't. There is no such thing in my life as free time. I used my annual leave to travel to these venues, and did it on as much of a shoestring budget as possible. I don't own a season ticket, I can't afford one and I have had to sacrifice a few home games to have had the opportunity to travel. I'm as disappointed as everyone else about the season as a whole, but again I refer you to my original point, I was replying to Pidge when he says this season was a total disaster. It wasnt

I remember almost dying of boredom during the season we had Blaisdell as coach (EIHL era) but that happens. I don't know how long you've been watching, I assume quite a while, but there was always going to be a season where that £800 felt like a complete waste of money.

Can we have a run down of the 3% that wasn't crap please.
That's roughly six periods of hockey out of around 66 games.
The Eight nil in Cardiff must use up half of those.

Probably because his hands were tied.. did you ever watch a blaiser coached panthers team prior to his defection , it was far from dull!

There's been more than one season Nick. Probably 3 out of the last 4 have felt like a complete waste of money.

I didn't see the 8-0 in Cardiff Shorty,as it's not on my season ticket. Of the home games,being honest how many have been really good and got you going or on the edge of your seat,not very many. Against Sheffield on 27th Dec and the Manchester home game,the one where Mcgrattan and Eric Neilson fought are the only two that spring to mind. Most of the rest were pretty dull.
