Now that another season has wrapped up i`d like to invite all of you who still fancy watching a bit of contact sport to come and see some american football here in Nottingham. As well as following the Panthers, our family is involved with the Nottingham Caesars.I`ve been playing for years and i absolutely love it. We`ve just started our season with a victory at home in our first game,we are totally amateur and you dont have to pay to come and see us play!! Check out our website at www.nottinghamcaesars.co.ukand if you have any questions then feel free to ask me Here`s hoping to see you soon......................

now there`s a question!! Right here goes..... As far as i know, originally the senior team in nottingham were called the Nottingham Hoods, now that was an extremely clever marketing ploy as obviously there is the Robin Hood connection but also slang for an american gangster.Heres where it gets a bit ropey for me,apparently there is a film starring Jimmy Cagney where his gang of mobsters (hoods) were called the little caesars, so the junior team of the Hoods were christened the Caesars. When the Hoods folded in Nottingham in the mid nineties the Caesars took over their senior league position ( i think!!)
