www.panthers.co.uk/content/challenge-cup-final-–-pre-book-your-tickets-monday-jan-23rdI thought the idea was an excellent one until I read this WHAT HAPPENS IF MY TEAM DOES NOT MAKE THE FINAL? If you make a pre-booking and your team does not make the final, you do not get the £2 booking fee back, but you will receive £2 off the webcast of the Cup Final. So it is scaremongering people into paying up front to ensure they get tickets but then saying you won't get your money back if you don't make it?! If Oanthers do t make it, I don't want to be spending more money on a webcast?!!! Why pick a small venue to play this game when there are 2 arenas that have a better capacity that means this doesn't become an issue. I'm not one for usually complaining about the league but this is a pure money grabbing exercise at best.

Yeah that does seem a bit odd. Why do they need 2 quid at all? There's surely a system (I know there is) where they can take payment details from everyone, and then charge for the tickets as required. As an aside, the club spokeswoman would never have OK'd this bit: Complaints?! Keep it to yourself

Why pick a small venue to play this game when there are 2 arenas that have a better capacity that means this doesn't become an issue. To add, I've no problem with this being played at IAW, it's our newest venue and to my mind it's good that if the final is going to be a one off, that they move it about the place. I don't think we can just reserve these showpieces for the NIC or Sheffield, because we're big and in the middle. Given the 4 teams left, you'd expect a sell out and hopefully the crowd is evenly split. It should make for a great atmosphere and spectacle. Last year I only watched on the webcast, but the size of Sheffield Arena allowed us to massively outnumber them, obviously it's very difficult to prevent that but it's not ideal for a cup final, and will be less likely in a venue like this. Actually that raises another point, presumably with the £2 off the webcast bit, the BBC aren't interested in doing it again?

What a load of cods. Hold the event at an arena that can cope with expected demand, not a rink in all but name.

Elsewhere I have read that we could not have a Cup finals weekend as it would cost too much to make it worthwhile. getting an Arena etc...now we go to we can do a final etc....we don't know how to organise thsi sport. 1) There is a cut off, you can't come if your not lucky to get in quick. 2) We ask you to support this sport then we limit your choices. 3) We'll make money on this offering you something you might not want later ie) webcast. 4) etc etc etc
I think they may get a lot of contact from fans.
How many fans will take this up (stopping others to pre-book - as they can't commit just yet ) then swallow the loss in favour of not going, leading to others not getting tickets that they could have taken up eventually? Not actually a first come first sold to really.

After all....what's the difference ! 😐

If my team isn't there who's to say I want to watch other teams on a webcast :/ I have always been interested in buying DVD's of the Finals from domestic competition. have a large collection but now days its all PC use in watching or if possible saving of games , which I am useless at. Not very tech so rely on peoples good faith in doing me copies of games. Example, I don't have the PO and Cup win from last year because it was on Premier. Anybody that can help me I'd appreciate it. All hard copies are very few it seems these days.

Cardiff v Belfast semi final first leg tonight. Interesting penalty to Derrick Walser.....10 min pen at 0.00 before the game had even started ??
It is his favourite ref though,Dean Smith. Lol

Happens too often that, but 30 seconds is ridiculous !

Happens too often that, but 30 seconds is ridiculous ! Apparently it was about 10-20 seconds in and he just took off to centre ice and circled around the net until it had finished, then argued with Smith for giving him a 10 minute misconduct.

the Welsh national anthem does have that break where everyone else thinks it finished or did he just leave when it was still going?

the Welsh national a them does have that break where else everyone thinks it finished or did he just leave when it was still going? I can't say for certain as I'm not there but I've seen some raise that point but then others saying it was pretty much in the middle. Hopefully there's some clarification after the game, not the sort of thing someone would just let be given how disrespectful it can come across.

Surely Walser should have noticed everybody else was still on the blue lines though and skated back. It's not like the first time he's ever heard the Welsh anthem either is it !

Myers used to do one after about 2 seconds of GSTQ, don't remember too many misconducts Looks like it's all to play for in that one, Gary would love that.

Does anyone know why the Steelers VS Panthers Challenge Cup Semi-Final 2nd Leg is 14th February when we played the 1st Leg last week. Why the long gap between Legs?

For some reason Belfast started with Whistle in nets. They pulled him after the 4th goal and put Murphy in
