Watching those highlights... the first period was utter domination. But the 2nd and 3rd, looks like Cardiff really started to fight back - Miika and the D (especially Miika) really had to work hard to keep a clean sheet - and they did. Very good. One Cardiff fan's interesting take on why we dominated the first period:- And Andrew Lord's post-game take on it:- <LINK>Kind of sounds like what we've been seeing/hearing lately!

Love the veiled reference to "Bordello" there too

When I arrived there last night I had very little confidence and would have been happy with a point, but what a performance everyone put in. I'm proud of them not just because of the score line but because of the way that they battled and worked, we were all over the Devils like a rash in the first and we put the game to bed by playing that way. What a night!

Well done Nottingham on getting your team back. It wasn't the one we were expecting --- obviously!

The thing I'm most surprised about with those highlights is the lack of anything in the hit by Kudroc on Martin. The way some Cardiff fans are talking about it, using phrases like "there should have been retribution" you'd think Kudroc blindsided Martin off the puck. Kudroc moved very little towards Martin, rather he stood his ground and the 'check' was delivered mostly using Martin's momentum. If Martin hadn't been checking his laces that contact could have been largely avoided. It's a contact sport!!

It's a contact sport!! unfortunately it has got to the position where fans and sometimes players can't accept a fair clean hit and feel they've got to fight the checker, it's ridiculous

Strange highlights, obviously slanted towards Cardiff but every shot Panthers had went in and they must have shown every single shot that Cardiff had. Undoubtedly a very good performance from Panthers, but given the numerous grade A chances we gave the Devils it's a good job Wiikman stood on his head ! On another night we could easily have conceded a hatful of goals. Me thinks the Devils had one eye on bigger fish to fry on Sunday night !

When you have aspirations of winning titles you can't pick and choose which games to win. Besides there's nothing fortunate about winning 8-0 either

To win the title you have to be very consistent. And that's exactly why we've blown it.....YET AGAIN !
