EPL teams won't be too fond of that, they can barely afford the travel to games within England, nevermind coaching it up to Scotland and back.
If there was more money in the EPL, the dodgy owners kicked out then i'd be all for this as it'd essentially be the start of a solid progression system with affiliate teams etc..

Not entirely true, attendances for a chunk of teams are doing well and a lot of the players there aren't cheap. It will create a clear divide however, hopefully an affiliate system will be discussed to at least move in the right direction.

Surely a 2 conference system would work fine - EPL and SPL - only play a couple of times in reg season, come together for play-offs. The only question is if there are enough EPL quality Brits to spread even thinner than they are now.

Hewitt was never an EIHL calibre player and Lacho is shaping up the same way! Be interesting to see what happens to EIHL import limits as a result of this.

M9ght see a few of the Scottish teams decide to drop down as this could shape up to be a variation of the BNL and this was a really popular league in its day.
