And probably about 40 or 50 others who retired straight after Panthers.
Because they came just for a last hurrah, plenty of pubs, even more puck bunnies and a degree in.....whatever business studies is !

Kevin St. Pierre - Alaska Aces (ECHL) The Saint is still going? Didn't he say he was going to retire when he dropped out of returning to us, hence Kowalski?

I think he's mainly the 'emegency backup' for various ECHL teams. He was a coach for a junior team in Wichita when he got the call. Only played in 1 game over the past season, backup goalie in others.

You must be new here because what you wrote is no doubt applicable to a lot of players & not just those who sign for Panthers.

Mattias Modig retires,
"LULEÅ / ICE HOCKEY He is one of the best goalkeepers to Lulea Hockey ever fostered. But now, Mattias Modig played his last game - The knee is simply not, says 29-year-old to NSD. Game played for four years, 2006-2010, in SHL with Lulea Hockey, and then took the opportunity to move to North America to play in the Pittsburgh Penguins organization. Where represented Wheeling Nailers of the ECHL and the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins of the AHL. But while the dream of the NHL was strongest also started Modig injury hell (knee), who then persecuted him large parts of his career. Brave still managed to play in Vaxjo, Nottingham and Allsvenskan BIK Karlskoga before last winter chose Bodens HF in Division II. But where did it stop immediately. In the qualifiers for Hockeyettan injured Mattias Modig again his knee."

I quite liked Modig. Loved his meltdown in Coventry when a "goal" was awarded that was, well, not legit.
