Lets have him back sniping goals, not wasted on PK, he should be a top 6 forward.

Glad to see Larry back. But with this roster,it's got to be as a goal scorer ! for gods sake, take a day off please Tell me that when we're struggling for goals. One import forward to sign and so far we have only one reasonably reliable scorer.....Schultz ! Clarkey will be back, but he's on the downturn now and goes through long drought spells, the other two top scorers from last season Kolnik and Bohmbach have gone !

Lets have him back sniping goals, not wasted on PK, he should be a top 6 forward. I think his role will depend on who else we sign. He's obviously proven himself very capable of playing the role that he played last season. However, if (as seems likely) we have 2 lines of that ilk made up then hopefully he's capable of a top 6 slot and producing goals/points. He managed over a PPG in that poor Panthers side of 14/15 so on a decent side alongside the right players he should be able to produce a serious tally. We do need a few more in that can get a PPG+ though. Kolnik would be great for starters. Brendan Cook maybe?

@jordannooooooo will be weeping tears of joy into his multi-grain Cheerios over this.
I'm OK with Chris being back. We do seem to be signing anyone who hasn't chosen to retire though, 5th and all that.

1/2 More Import Forwards left to sign.. Depending if we go with 5 Import D or 6.
Could do with Kolnik or similar to slot in on the 1st Line with Moran and Schultz. If Clarke signs, stick him with Lawrence and MacMillan perhaps on Line 2.
The dependence on Brits as to how we go about finalising the roster is quite substancial, we need to do all we can to keep Clarke, Myers and Ollie. It'll make things a lot easier.

At the minute we've got ten of the fourteen imports/dual nationals signed up, in regards to the team we've got 3 forward slots to fill and 3 defensive slots to fill (disregarding spares)
If we sign oakford up and make him the 6th defenceman which will suit him perfectly and sign Matthew Myers that leaves four spaces on the lines, which will be for two more import dmen and two further import slots for the forwards.
Judging from who we've singed so far and what we saw last year the first line will consist of Moran, Mosey and more than likely the star of the team, the second line I believe will be Lawrence, Schultz and another who will be effectively replacing Bohmbach and will probably be a major upgrade. 3rd line would consist of Lacho, Macmillan Brown, then the fourth line would be Farmer, Myers, Janssen.
If Corey were to follow this plan where we sign that leaves two LW import forwards to sign, one which will be our top goal scorer, then a playmaker to ignite Schultz and Lawrence.
Who's worried?

This is how i see it. Although in an ideal world we'd get Clarke and Myers and put lacho as 13th forward. If we get Kolnik then we need a winger playmaker to get the most out of Schultz. A line of player maker-Lawrence- Schultz could be pretty tasty.

Early days and plenty of twists and turns but I'm not keen on the look of our forward lines.
All seems too risky and built on players who aren't consistent.
Lawrence can be sublime or distant. Schultz was uncontrollable until his injury, came back poor. MacMillan is great but scores infrequently. Brown looks OK but not a great point scorer. Janssen doesn't play a scoring role. Moran wasn't great when we mixed his line mates and became distant. Mosey is fantastic but I wouldn't class him as a first-liner yet.
It's all just reminding me too much of the 14-15 team with too much of a similar kind of player... Jacina, Benedict, Parent, Graham, Higgins plus Lawrence & Mosey were all just too similar and one dimensional.

Clarkey will be worried......because he will be sitting on the bench then !!! if we do sign him that is! What I find strange is the fact that we haven't signed him yet and he's normally one of the first to sign. He didn't impress me last season and he's not getting any younger so it's difficult form him to turn his form around or to play a different type of role without moving down the lines but we've already signed the LW players for the third and fourth lines in the form of Lacho and Farmer, so the question you need to ask is whether or not he is good enough to play and contribute on the second line, most likely with Larry and Schultz, personally I think the answer is no as he is not what we need on that line

The thing is we sign very few poor players. We often have a quality filled roster but and it is a big but, we don't sign enough players to compliment each other.
This season looks like it will be no different I'm afraid.
Just because a player is good doesn't mean he is a good signing for us.

That Lawrence Brown Schultz line looks nailed on... at least it should be ! It could be our version of phillys legion of Doom line in the 90s

you aren't seeing the bigger picture, there were a number of factors that lead to us finishing fifth, including the fact we failed to replace key players at key moments in the season which ultimately put us were we ended up, the players as a whole played very well for the majority of the season, as we saw by wining two out of the three trophies

It could be our version of phillys legion of Doom line in the 90s it's a possibility pidge, listening Brown's interview with Seth Bennet he describes himself as a third liner bug believes he can develop himself in to a top 6 forward, we'll have to see what he brings
