I say get him. Seems to be the direction we're going in this season. Grind teams down and grind out wins

Canada born, British passport holding Kyle Wharton to the EIHL. 30 year old 6'3" defenceman with left shot, drafted 2nd Round 59th Overall in 2004. Spent last season playing in the Asian League. Has previous University education and would likely look for a University deal to top up his degree to a masters. www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=9484

I posted his stats in one of the other threads, nice and steady left shot D man. Wouldn't mind seeing him here, especially if Schmidty hangs them up.

He looks solid though and with his British Passport we could use him as one of the EU spots. Played with a few former Panthers over his time, as well as a few other current EIHL'ers of course. If he wants his Uni Deal then as much as i'd like to see the guy in black and gold, i can see him heading somewhere like Cardiff.. if he comes to the Uk that is!

Saviano played with Brad Moran for 2 years 11/12 and 12/13 at Vaxjo in SHL - hopefully a BRAD Moran signing!

Look back on bottom of page 6 and through page 7 of this thread. I put Matt Carter's name in the ring due to just fancying the look of him and (at the time) a very tenuous thing I'd heard which made me look at him.

Wouldn't mind Saviano in Nottingham, especially seen as though we need a left winger of his sort of calibre

I read the post as someone with close connection with the Panthers said to you Matt Carter is signing go spread the word (is Moran your uncle), LOL sorry but to close to be coincident!!!!!!!

Panthers should have at least five players of that calibre EVERY season......without some of that sort of quality, you just do not win the EIHL !

Remind me what Belfast have won the past two seasons? They have over the last 15 years won the league more times than Panthers have Jonno. Remind me who has won the league without plenty of either NHL,AHL,DEL or SHL experience ? Now how much of that quality have we signed so far this year ?

But to date we look seriously short on top end quality, those three remaining Dmen still to be signed have got to be seriously good.
