Guess what will be the biggest discussion point.
Lee best Brit?
Whilst as a whole they've not been great. Seriously. Over Matt Myers & Oakford Steve Lee in particular has been woefull. Only surpassed by Lacho. To be honest had it been over the last 2 months i'd have said Oakford. He hasn't done enough for the whole season though. Swindlehurst was better than Lee by a mile. Obviously out of the running. Farmer has been effective since going on the Grind Line. Matt Myers the only one to have been a steady comtributer all season.
Regardless of ice time etc. Based on performances we have seen. Aside Ollie because hes had so little. He will go lower because of it
In order of best Brit first.
Oakford Clarke Myers Swindlehurst Green Farmer Ollie Lee Lacho
Not easy and could probably swap a couple.

Rum old year for Best Brit tbh, can see why they went for Clarke but Lee is a bit of an odd one. Not as high on Myers as most people in our fanbase, probably given it to Oakford for improvement.

Seriously? Who managed to not choose Myers as best Brit??!!
Lachowicz and Lee both had easily their worst seasons for us. Farmers form dipped on last season. Oakford and Swindlehurst did ok. Clarke wasn't at his best.
Jeeze what a flipping joke.
Oh, yeah, the other awards. Spot on.

Seriously? Choosing my words carefully but who the frigging hells bells chose Lachowicz as (joint) best Brit??!! Without having the stats to hand, I'd be fairly certain that Myers has more goals, more assists and more points. Absolutely no comparison on the amount of hard work and effort put in. Jeeze what a flipping joke. Oh, yeah, the other awards. Spot on. It wasn't Lacho Ted....it was Lee/Clarke. But it's actually all the imports who vote for the best Brit,so i guess we blame them !

Haha yeah I realised my mistake and have now edited my post. Thought it was Clarke/Lachowicz. My bad. Long day.

Im pretty much the same on Matt. Done some fantastic things for the club. However he is no way near the player he was. He is still good in the face off circle but don't think he has contributed much else. He is still a worth while player to have on the team but too many view him with an opinion tainted by past glories. I know there are others to go first but to put it into perspective. Given the choice of Ollie or Matt i'd take Ollie every time. Purely on what I think he could add over the next few years. I put him top because as you say it's not been a great year for Brits. Clarke has been o.k until last few months so can understand his vote.

He aint half the player he was. Read all my post to understand my point though. If we are having the same number of Brits next year I have no problem with Matt being on the team. I think we will continue to see a decline in his contributions year on year. I'd rather keep Ollie for his potential than an ever decreasing Myers. If a Brit Forward were to go next year from what we have now based on current contribution, points & potential i'd gas in this order. Lacho Myers Ollie Clarke(still score points. Not sure how long his body will hold up) Farmer(Some poor form & Injuries this season but been great at his role recently)
