Saw this yesterday and was reminded by the Matt Nickerson video. Haven't seen it on here and think it is worth discussing.

Hello all.
Most of you don't know me and I'm not very vocal on this group but I'm the guy who was brought in to film the panthers home games.
I understand that a lot of people haven't been very happy with highlights and the opening video this year. I also understand that there isn't much contact between fans and members of the panthers office team. I just wanted to give you a little idea of where we, the panthers visual media team are at this point in time.
Less than two years ago we were asked to be a second camera man for the panthers highlights. After two weeks due to complications that are unknown to me I was asked if we were able to take over the reigns and produce the whole thing. Since that time we have taken a single camera production and turned it into a multi camera production that in my opinion competes with what teams have been doing for years. I also produce the weekly CIO show. I want to focus on the highlights in the post and ask you, the fans what you believe we should change.
If you could use the highlights from the second half of the season as a example of what we make now that would be best. That is the brief that we are given with what time and budget we have. Also bare in mind that there is only one person able to film normal game and two for Sheffield games.
One thing I will say is that it's going to be a long process before we can rival what is undoubtably a better production in Sheffield. Regardless of the manpower and experience that they have the arena they play in is a lot more accommodating technically, allowing them to do a lot more with live streaming etc...
Please know that we are working, and working hard to give you the best highlights/media content we can. We try to give you fresh, innovative ideas that are different to what everyone else is doing. We do this to lead instead of follow but obviously not everything will be liked.
This leads me to the opening video. When a team clears house is extremely hard to make a 'highlight' based video for a fan base that wants to be excited for a future team. I also saw a huge number of fans calling for something 'new' that was for the fans and wasn't just highlights. With this information I made something that put the fans first and throughout the video and was different to what any team was doing at the time. I understand that the opening video wasn't enjoyed by a lot of the fans and was called unprofessional and dull. I made the changes that were available to me after enough highlights had been produced and adapted it to attempt to make amends. I still stand by my work and will be posting both versions of the video at the end of this season to this page so you can see it in full definition with sync'd audio and not on what can only be described as a bright orange poster screen.
Hopefully next season if I am asked to make another it will be more to the fans taste with hits, highlights and goals. They will still look like they play in orange though and there is nothing I can do about that.
I want to say it's been a privilege for me, a life long panthers fan to work with the team and for the fans for the past two seasons and I hope we can keep making what I believe to be huge jumps forward in the standard of media that is produced for the mighty Nottingham Panthers.
Thank you for all your patience, please put any ideas, suggestions and criticisms in the comments, all are appreciated.
Here's to the playoffs.
