Madalora. He's made a lot of good saves. The team needs to defend better.

1-1 end of the 2nd. From comments made by Flyers fans sounds like the Moran, Kolnik and Mosey line is working hard compared to the rest and Madolora getting much praise from them too.

That's the only line that's done anything the last three games. God knows what is up with Schultz/Bohmbach,they have been truly awful lately and Clarke/Myers or Lawrence/Farmer haven't been much better either !

Kolnik scores the winner in OT on a delayed penalty call(first of the game).

A win in a rink where we haven't won for two seasons, from what the commentators were saying, that's pretty good, hopefully we have overcome our hangovers...
It is worrying how we are relying on Moran/Mosey/Kolnik currently, terrific line but unfortunately they can't be relied on to score every goal for us, Neilson needs to do something about it the rest ringer them clicking

It's on the website that apparently Shultz will be going to hospital on his return to Nottingham to fix "serious damage" resulting from the high sticking.

Madolara easily the MoM for Panthers as he robbed Flyers who were just the better team over the 60 mins and probably just deserved the win.
Excellent game of hockey though with not a lot between two very evenly matched teams

An ear injury shouldn't keep him out though, unless he's a wimp ! Unless there's damage to the inner ear, in which case he'll have trouble walking, never mind skating. This raises an interesting question though - the high stick was going to be called, but we won the game on the delayed penalty (with "six" skaters according to the OS... in OT?). So the penalty was never recorded, but a head injury resulted. Will that get automatically reviewed, or swept under the carpet, or would Panthers have to request a review?

How much does a review cost?

It would have been a 2 minute minor for high sticking so you would have to request a review.

Sounds like Schultz is fine, needed some stitches.

is there much to be read from this result? no penalties usually means limited checking/contact. Neither side wanting to risk that much with the PO just around the corner.

The ref's can't win. Call too many penalties, they're garbage. Don't call any, they're garbage. I thought the ref actually called the game well. He let it flow and the call in OT against Fife he had no choice but to make.
Even Corey said the "refereeing was excellent".

Excellent game of hockey though with not a lot between two very evenly matched teams Couple of things how can fife be robbed if it was between two very evenly matched teams and imho therein lies the issue. Given the difference in resources between the two sides fife should not be able to live with a panthers team if each team spent the same percentage of profits (and I don't mean any disrespect to fife who always put out a competitive side). I know its an end of season meaningless game but in all honesty panthers shouldn't have had any issues dispatching what is in all likelihood a cheaper side... Same problem with panthers year on year, I don't know how we as a fan base dare call clan bottlers as panthers do it pretty much every year..
