Panthers average attendance last year was 5,266, it feels like we have easily exceeded that so far this year, do any stattos out there know how we stand with a handful of games left to play. It looks like Sheffield game will sell out and Cardiff on Friday I would expect to get near the 6000 mark.

5718 for the 23 games at the NIC with attendance figures posted on the elite league website. It looks like the 4 games without attendance figures, were all Challenge cup games.
Take some of the numbers with a pinch of salt though. Our attendance on Halloween was allegedly 6666, and generally the last 2 digits are the number of the player who got MOM (or at least, the player GM thought deserved MOM...)

It seems most games since about November have been 5500+, seems a far cry from the first EIHL season when we averaged about 3,800!

There has been a significant increase in freebies this season. Im not against giving Free tickets out to bring new fans in. However I would doubt we have averaged more than last season without them. I would have thought it's a pretty similar number when looking at paying customers.

I hope in a couple of years we can sell out almost every game if not every league game and get an actual atmosphere

Like was said.Free tickets would excelerate the figure. On top of that things like 6666 on haloween makes things so unreliable.

Not sure that giving away several thousand free tickets to school kids at the age most of them are brings in any return bums on seats at all. Giving the same number away to people with the ability to pay would work better but in saying that I don't think that's why they are invited.

4 of those attendances are listed as 0 though, so the average attendance is 131504/23 = 5718.

Few extra pennies might have been saved there and with neither panthers or clan likely to get into the CHL there's more money to be spend on players next season as I feel the panthers roster this year could handle the continental cup quiet well should we win the playoffs and should they all come back.

Surely when counting attendances it would go by official attendances aka box office ticket sales, rather than the silly ones that the Panthers put forward? I know how the systems work in a box office and it's very easy for them to tell (digitally) how many are in attendance for events, surely they would have put the official numbers forward?
Why are they counting the attendances before the end of season? Tonights sell out game would have maybe bumped us up a couple of places.

Imagine what it could be with proper/more regular media exposure.... New arena needed perhaps

No idea why the IIHF do it now rather than wait an extra month! The attendances given on the game sheets must be 90% accurate,it's just the last two digits that might be a bit 'made up'

The fans always do their part. It's time they were rewarded with us spending what we should. Starting with the wages for a top class coach and gm, then a top line of European class.

A sell out in Nottingham and also in Braehead tonight,at least Mr Black will be happy.
If only Panthers spent even 50% what we could and should. This continual dross is really naffing me off now,i am sick and tired of watching a club that constantly does the bare minimum !!!!!!

Reason why I gave up the ST then reduced games and now don't miss watching anymore. Never thought I'd say that. Love the game but don't like the aspects of how it's run.

Used to go to every single game, buy everything, but then had a realisation moment, and a lot of long term fans get this, when you think why should I go out of my way and pay so much money when the org aren't giving 100%. It is just frustrating and sad. Sure they don't care, look another sell out. But the fans they are alienating are the ones who go to Coventry on a wet Wednesday or will still turn up if we get kicked out of the arena and have to move to a barn in the middle of no where. That is sad and dangerous.
