Saw this on Steeltalk and thought it was really interesting. www.spreaker.com/user/purplearmypodcast/ep-47-one-thing-leads-to-anotherListen from 48 mins in. Think this gives a good insight into the locker rooms of clubs. Shows that its not all about the on ice side of things, and that factors like this may have something to do with certain players playing or not playing for clubs. Just adds another side to the discussions that go on, and one that fans don't normally talk too much about (mainly because we have no idea a lot of the time).

If anyone has played any team sport activity to a high amatuer/or pro level then squad gelling & locker room/dressing room atmosphere are common issues.
See Kevin Pietersen for a recent example. It only takes one....

Holt's reaction highly indicates the opinion that the Clan has of these two players, could possibly ruin any future chances for them too

Holt certainly doesn't hold back. I dunno if washing the dirty linen in public like that really does anyone much credit, but it is interesting to hear that insight I'll admit.

Totally agree with Burtons statement, one good thing with panthers is we keep things in house

Tbh I don't see a problem with what he said at all, had it been a petty falling out or something and he's being bitter then yeah fair enough. But he's addressed a very common issue that nobody really hears about directly and he does show a lot of respect for people mentioned in the podcast too. The guy stands up for his leaders who are working hard and the overall message of you work to earn your way is a spot on concept a fair number of players that have come and gone seem to drown it out with their own ego.

Holt is right in what he said, you don't get rid of a high point scoring player for no reason but something serious must have went on for the higher-ups to want him out. Bruton hasn't really said much in his response and I wouldn't really have expected him to.
As for the other guy Cownie, what was he like in Nottingham?

Bruton has played that perfectly and everything he says is spot on. Twitter and face book wars are for 12 yr old girls, sadly some important figures in the British game have 12yr mental ages.
If you got a problem, centre ice, drop the gloves. That's what hockey players are supposed to do.

Everything Holt said could be factually correct, but it's completely unprofessional to air it in the manner he did ranting and raving like a lunatic about Bruton and Cownie. He makes David 'Stick my oar in' Simms look more (only a little) professional by comparison! Bruton has handled it professionally, made a statement and left it at that.

Holt really doesn't come out well from this. Imagine somebody at work saying this about somebody who'd left. It just wouldn't happen - if it did, they'd get sacked.

Obvious these two did not get along. Not sure what was tweeted by the team but social media as it is is not the place to air personality issues.

Now Cowley is getting involved, I hope we don't get Coventry in the playoffs, it'd be a powderkeg moment.

If you make sure that Coventry lose games like this then they will finish ninth and you won't have to worry about facing them in the playoffs...
