Just seen this. I will check.
In statistics re hockey (less your in the know with the boys)it is hard to get exactly what you want. As is the 'norm' these days with sponsorship or era change (i.e., Super league to Elite) it is to parade THAT set of stats rather than the real McCoy of ALL TIME.
Myself I like to obviously go with 'All Time' which is the reason you have in one respect David's 600 Elite era Goals celebrated etc rather than the truth of an actual playing record ,the larger figure.
Anyway, will look up this for you and see what we have.

OK It is virtually impossible to include challenge games. So with official domestic play and NOT including any International play.
By end of last season DC was on 599 GAMES PLAYED, 324 Goals, 301 assists and 625 points with 732 Pims. Can't remember the 600 games played mentioned. Which is what I mean about the Elite stats being the usual displayed/mentioned over air. I did recall the Elite 600 mark on something but I thought it was something other than the games played total. Think DC's games are all within Elite anyway.
Now this season he has 32/14/18/32/43 to add which gives, by my reckoning (and ahem, people have used my stats so I believe they agree.
We are on 631 games 338 goals 319 assists 657 points 775 Pims

With Chick Zamick (613) having been second in appearances behind Weber (843)by end of last season (ADEY 581).....DC has now thus surpassed those great legends in playing for the Panthers. Something missed by the club.
I'll update regards AL TIME totals at end of season.

I know people have a range of opinions on DC - so given these stats, does he have the #5 shirt retired when he finally goes? I think its nailed on he does.

I'm not particularly into number retirements but it will happen, and he'll be more deserving than the last guy.

I love the DC haters especially around block 5 because he pops up with goals more often than not and they sure dingo quiet when he does!

We all have our opinions on Clarke but as the stats prove he had done a lot for this club. 631 games at over a point a game for one team. Not many players over here can say that. Very well deserved.
#5 should be retired when he does.

Surely got to be a shirt retirement. I get frustrated with him occasionally, but less than a lot of other players. He's consistently the main man. Scores lots of goals, and important ones too.

I think he's improved massively over the years. He used to be pretty one dinentional (just really good at that one thing) but now hes a pretty complete player. I would retire 5 when he hangs up his skates, great servant to the club.

Can recall him dropping the gloves in Belfast when we won the league, leads by example, and a gent off the ice too.

And, I've even seen him drop the gloves. In Belfast, the day we won the league. For years I was convinced he had superglue on them before a game starts
