Well, there are some stunning appraisals on here....
1. How can anyone not be happy with Swindlehurst. Bar a couple of games early doors has been a consistent no nonsense D man all season. Steve Lee could well do with learning a few things from him!
2. "Lawrence last night was the Lawrence of last season" he picked up defensive duty, finished hits when needed and took the initiative to skate wth the puck last night!
3. Moran, we are a worse team without him in it. We saw that after his injury - He's at a point a game too.
4. Agree Lacho is just awful.... Can't pass or skate past the first man, constant turnovers and too lightweight for the league. The fact Ollie had to sit last night with him dumping all over the ice last night is appalling.

From a Flyers perspective that was a fantastic road game from us. If we had conceded as we should have on the first shift of the game and been on the back foot right from the off it would have been a totally different game. Glad someone's picked that up. That first shift was superb, looked like a set play, we work a position where Clarke has a 2/3 empty net to shoot at, on his forehand, and he misses the net completely. That should have been 1-0 after 20 seconds. Brown absolutely robbed Lawrence blind in the first (I think) too. He threw a glove and saved a shot on an empty net. Lawrence couldn't believe it. Save of the season.

Very happy to have somehow walked away with a win from what was a very poor performance. Fife were robbed to be honest.
Until the last ten minutes of regulation time, Panthers were awful all over the ice apart from the netminder, who looks good (although he is tiny, looked like we had a little boy in goal). Apart from Janssen, who played the kind of style he did early season, there was no energy or desire on display and it very much looked like going through the motions. The dissatisfaction voiced by some fans was fully justified in my opinion.
In his post-match interview, Neilson appears to finally be admitting that it was not good enough from him or his players, so hopefully this awareness might bring some kind of response from all of them. We certainly need it if we are going to get back into the hunt for any kind of silverware this season.

Boring? Definitely. Rubbish? Yes, certainly for 50 minutes. Papering over the cracks? Probably. Underserved? More than likey.
But 2 points is 2 points and that is all that matters.

I can't remember the last time 'bus legs' was used as an excuse after an away defeat for us, admittedly it has been used in the past, and I don't know whether it exists or not, but if you are looking round for any excuse to have a go at the club with, then I suppose it'll do, even though it wasn't an away game for us. I wouldn't have a clue if Fife have this ailment or not, maybe they play better when turning up late! As for the game I thought the tone was set in the opening minute with Clarkie's miss, it seemed to affect the players' confidence and deadened the crowd. To come back from two goals down in the final period, after not playing well deserves some credit. I thought Madolora looked very good and deserved his man of the match.

Madolora is an inch taller than K-Wall Must be his stance, he looked like a junior. Also much slighter build than Kowalski. It was just an observation anyway, I don't care how tall he is if he can play and he appears to be able to.

He really did look tiny. When he stood up straight, he looked taller than k-wall but not as tall as Miika. As you say though, looks a good netty no matter how big/tall he is.

Did any of you hear his interview on bbc radio Nottm? Seems he contacted Corey in the summer but the club opted for Miika, he kept in touch and then Corey rang him last week and he was on his way here. I thought he played really well this weekend and you could see how pleased he was to save those penalties . He does remind me a little of Kwall especially when he wanders off behind the net.
