Hopefully this doesn't mean Mosey back on D I like him up front with his speed.

Mosey back on D & Lawrence for the rest of the season then?!
I'm happy with that.

Really don't think Hardy was as bad as some made out.

Really don't think Hardy was as bad as some made out. Agree to some extent. He wasn't much of a defender but a pretty good zone attacker. Would probably make a better winger in our league. I imagine in Europe he's quite a handy dman.

50/50 On this one.
Think the pairing didn't do him any favours. But still don't think he is what we need or needed at the time as I have mentioned before.
Could have been better could have been worse in my eyes.

Thought he had a good game last night but thought he was very similar to zion, abit of a forward in disguise. Left lots of holes in defence, if we didnt have mosey then think he would still be in the team.

Not too disappointed with this decision to be honest. Failed to see what he added to the team overall - his style left us more open at the back but he wasn't making the offensive contribution required to offset it. The fact that he was not first choice to quarterback the powerplay in recent games - a role he had specifically been brought in to do - suggested the coach was not confident in his abilities. If there's one kind of player Corey ought to know about it's an offensive D-man and PP quarterback so I'm happy to trust his judgement on this one. We have enough forwards with great 2-way awareness to have a very offensive D-man on the roster but I don't think Hardy is the man. Pleased to see the coach making decisions to try and get the right balance in the team and to address a poor run.
My preference would be to bring in a better calibre of player in this position rather than go down the easy option Mosey back and Lawrence in route. Mosey has been doing very well with his speed and tenacious attitude as a forward this season and it would be a shame to lose that.

I can't really comment after watching him for the first time at last nights game. Yes this guy has wheels but made a half dozen mistakes in the D zone and that cost us which we can't afford in this league. Good luck to him for the future

Happy with Hardy going,good decision.
He wasn't good enough, looked like he thought he was far better than he actually was, tried to pull off far too many flashy moves, not bad going forward but didn't do his job at the back and left it wide open. I wouldn't have wanted to be his D partner that's for sure !

Was neither great nor terrible, terrific wheels mind. Why gas him today though, and not tomorrow? We're another man short in Manchester tonight now.

Was neither great nor terrible, terrific wheels mind. Why gas him today though, and not tomorrow? We're another man short in Manchester tonight now. I think there are two reasons for this today. 1. It simply sends a message to the rest of the team. 2. More importantly, I think it helps the D to be more solid with Green in goal. A sort of "back to basics" move.

I hope someone is on the plane in or it is a pointless sacking when we are still bodies short.

The fact Corey would rather go short on D than keep him says a lot...

Hmm i was surprised when i read this but i cans see why its happened. Our form has dipped since Hardy came in. I don't think this is because of Hardy particularly i like a lot of what he does and he looks really nice going forwards some times, but if this results in the rest our d-men tightening up at the back i wont be complaining.

I said a couple of weeks ago that we were worse with him in the team and I was flamed by quite a few on here.
I know it's only one game but we have just conceded two away from home with the backup in.
I don't like to say "I told you so" but.....

I think some of us felt it was a bit simplistic, with the greatest of respect. Of Hardy's 10 games he played 2 at the NIC. Miika's maybe gone off the boil, or at least run into health issues, at the same time. There's a fair few reasons why our form could've dipped. I don't think conceding 2 to the worst team in the league proves much either way. If he really is useless, I'd be wondering why this was the guy Neilson waited so long for.

Was underwhelmed when we signed him. Saw nothing to make me change my mind.
I'm neither surprised or disappointed by him being gassed.
I think he was an easy/lazy/convenient signing by the Panthers as he just kind of fell into our lap when he was cut by his Swedish team.

Without getting into a slanging match with you iginla, I never said we didn't need the full compliment of imports. I just disagreed with you continually slagging the club off for not having at least thirteen imports on the roster, and you constantly implying that teams with more imports will always beat teams with less. It is not a simple numbers thing.

From what I hear it had nothing to do with his on ice performance at all.
